Growing Threat (to stop heroes from
having free reign in cleared boards)
After each turn where no monsters are
present on the board, The Zargon
player rolls a battle dice. If a Black
Shield is rolled, they gain a skull token.
Zargon may spend Skull tokens to add
one or more monsters to a room when
it is revealed. Each Skull token spent in
this way allows for 1 body point worth
of monsters to be added to a room.
Monsters added in this way must be of
the same type (color) of another
monster in the room, and must be
placed adjacent to an existing monster.
Taking 7 (to speed up movement in
cleared boards)
If no monsters are present on the
board, heroes may opt to move 7
spaces when moving rather than rolling
the movement dice.
Ambush (to add a sense of danger
when doors are opened)
When a door is opened, and a new
room revealed — the turn immediately
ends. Roll one movement dice for the
heroes and another for the Zargon
player. The highest roll gets to take
their turn next, with the hero player
winning any ties.
