DOES SCHOOL PREPARE US FOR THE REAL WORLD?

Good day everyone my name is A.I. Liti as a young Nigerian who loves to create
my system and path to success I came across this, does school prepare us for the
real world? This question has become a piece of bone stock within my throat. Our
parent always says to us "Study hard and get good grades and you will find a high-
paying job with great benefits." Their goal in life was to provide a college
education for us, so that we would have the greatest chance for success in life.
Because they believe that if you don't get good grades, you won't get into college
But little did they know, that the world around us has changed, but the advice
hasn't. Regardless of whether we go to college or not, whether we excel in
academics or not, we are going to live a fabulous life and with the right choice
backed by actions, we are going to excel in life no matter the circumstances. So
why should I put time into studying subjects I will never use in real life? Studying
about things, which will never play any minor or major role in my life. Getting a
good education and making good grades no longer ensures success, and
nobody seems to have noticed, except the children. We all should know by now
that the saying "If you don't graduate from college, you won't get a good job," is
bullshit we have had this talk many times before. Haven’t we? I will urge our
parent or guardians teachers and lecturers to get with the times! Look around; the
richest people living an excellent life didn't get rich because of their educations.
Look at Michael Jordan and Madonna, Mark Zuckerberg, even Bill Gates and
Steve Jobs who dropped out of college, Mark founded Facebook, Bill founded
Microsoft while Steve founded apple.
Dear parent and guardians, we the children want to work as hard as you do. Some
among you make a lot of money, live in a huge house with lots of toys for your
kids to play around with, but if we follow your advice, we all might wind up like
you, working harder and harder only to pay more taxes and wind up in debt. There
is no job security anymore; we know all about downsizing and rightsizing, we also
know that college graduates today earn less than you did when you graduated.
Look at doctors, engineers and so on they don't make nearly as much money as
they used to, we know that we can't rely on Social Security or company pensions
for retirement. We need new answers. Yes, of course, we needed new answers.
Your ' advice may have worked for people born before 1945, but it may be
disastrous for those of us born into a rapidly changing world. You should no longer
say to your children, "Go to school, get good grades, and look for a safe, secure
job. Today, the most dangerous advice you can give to your child is `Go to school,
get good grades and look for a safe secure job, I like to say that is a bit of old
advice, and it's a piece of bad advice. How I wish our parent and guardians could
see what is happening in Asia, Europe, South America, they will be as concerned
as we are now. I Liti A.I am saying it’s a bad advice. Because if you want your
child to have a financially secure future and you want the best for him, then he/she
can't play by the old set of rules. It's just too risky."
