Objektif Pertemuan
• Mahasiswa memahami dampak ekonomi dari pengaruh web yang terdiri dari
periklanan, penjualan online, lelang, dll.
• Mahasiswa memahami proses analisis web termasuk parameter pengukurannya.
• Mahasiswa memahami koleksi data sebagai esensi dalam analisis web.
• Mahasiswa memahami pengembangan indikator kunci performa sebagai esensi
dalam analisis web.
• Mahasiswa memahami perumusan strategi online sebagai esensi dalam analisis
web.
• Mahasiswa mengenal perangkat-perangkat yang digunakan untuk analisis web.
• Mahasiswa memahami potensi web science untuk diterapkan di dalam teknologi
informasi.
• Mahasiswa memahami contoh contoh penerapan web science dalam teknologi
informasi.
Ekonomi Web
• Nama lain: Internet Ekonomi, Digital Economy atau New Economy
• Digital ekonomi merupakan hasil dari milyaran orang yg bertemu, bekerja
dan beraktivitas setiap hari nya menggunakan Internet
• The Digital Economy also referred as the New Economy. It refers to an
Economy in which digital computing technologies are used in Economic
Activities.
• The term 'Digital Economy' was first mentioned in Japan by a Japanese
professor and research economist in the midst of Japan's recession of the
1990s.
• In 2016, the Digital Economy represented $11.5 trillion, or 15.5 percent of
global GDP
• According to Thomas Mesenbourg (2001), three main components of
the 'Digital Economy' concept can be identified:
• E-business infrastructure (hardware, software, telecom, networks, human
capital, etc.),
• E-business (how business is conducted, any process that an organization
conducts over computer-mediated networks),
• E-commerce (transfer of goods, for example when a book is sold online).
• Due to the booming of Web Economy a form of digital advertising has
appeared. Digital advertising or web advertising, is a form of
marketing and advertising which uses the Internet to deliver
promotional marketing messages to consumers.
• Online advertising includes email marketing, search engine marketing
(SEM), social media marketing, many types of display advertising
(including web banner advertising), and mobile advertising.
Online Marketplace
• Online marketplace (or online e-commerce marketplace) is a type of
e-commerce website where product or service information is
provided by multiple third parties.
• Not just between Business to Customer (B2C) online marketplace also
serves Business to Business (B2B).
• Online marketplace can be considered as the beginning of Sharing
Economy.
• Examples in Indonesia: Tokopedia, Bukalapak, Shopee
• Can you provide example for B2B online marketplace in Indonesia?
Online Auction
• An online auction (or also electronic auction or e-auction or eAuction)
is an auction which is held over the internet.
• The first online auction site was Onsale.com, founded by Jerry Kaplan
in May 1995. In September that same year, eBay was founded by
French-Iranian computer scientist Pierre Omidyar.

Web Analytics
• Web analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of web data to understand
and optimize web usage.
• Web analytics is not just a process for measuring web traffic but can be used as a tool for business
and market research and assess and improve website effectiveness.
• Most web analytics processes come down to four essential stages or steps:
• Collection of data: This stage is the collection of the basic, elementary data. Usually, these data are counts of
things. The objective of this stage is to gather the data.
• Processing of data into information: This stage usually take counts and make them ratios, although there still
may be some counts. The objective of this stage is to take the data and conform it into information,
specifically metrics.
• Developing KPI: This stage focuses on using the ratios (and counts) and infusing them with business strategies,
referred to as key performance indicators (KPI). Many times, KPIs deal with conversion aspects, but not
always. It depends on the organization.
• Formulating online strategy: This stage is concerned with the online goals, objectives, and standards for the
organization or business. These strategies are usually related to making money, saving money, or increasing
market share.
• Experiments and testings: A/B testing is a controlled experiment with two variants, in online settings, such as
web development.

Security information management
• Security information management (SIM) is an information security
industry term for the collection of data such as log files into a central
repository for trend analysis.
Security information and event management
• Security information and event management (SIEM) is a subsection
within the field of computer security, where software products and
services combine security information management (SIM) and
security event management (SEM). They provide real-time analysis of
security alerts generated by applications and network hardware.
