GEOMETRICAL CONSTRUCTIONS (SHEET NO.

4)
1. Draw two circles of radius 40mm and 30mm with their centres
100mm apart. Construct an External Common Tangent / Direct
Common Tangent to the two circles.

2. Draw two circles of radius 40mm and 30mm with their centres
100mm apart. Construct an Internal Common Tangent /
Transverse Common Tangent to the two circles.
3.
4. Draw an angle PQR = 60⁰. Draw a circle of radius 35mm
touching PQ and QR. Draw another circle of smaller radius
touching the first circle externally and also touching PQ and QR.

5. Refer to figure 1 given below. An arc of radius = 90mm is

passing through points A and B. AB = 85mm. copy the given
figure. Find the length of given arc by geometrical construction.

8. Draw a triangle whose perimeter = 121mm and sides are in the

ratio of 3:4:6.

9. Divide a line AB into un-equal parts of 1/2 ,1 /3 , 1/4 ,1/5∧1/6.

10. Construct a pentagon of side 40mm by arc method.
