Our Idea
between tea, paper and the journey

S​ tarted in December, 2018 in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Papier & Herbs is an

artisan tea maker, focused on herbs blend as tisane and smoke. Tisane
is a tea without tea leaves, and our smoking herbs is a cigarette with no
tobacco inside. Yogyakarta is a city formed by various encounters. It all
inspired us to make various experiments and explorations in terms of
taste and aroma. Tisane/herbal tea is like a form of our metaphorical
expression of the reality of diversity that occurs, which may not only be
in Yogyakarta, but also in every place. On the other hand, Yogyakarta is
a city with many of tourist, students, artists, art worker, intellectuals, and
has many kind of small scale bussiness of culinary, hotels, and retails. this
condition supports us to develop our artisan bussiness. This small scale
business tries to provide alternative types of drinks and cigarettes that are
different from usual. We use a mixture of local and non-local ingredients
in our products.
