Microwave motion sensors, based on the
award-winning passive infra-red IS3000 and
the DUAL TEC® DT8000, features simple
installation, superior detection, and minimal
false alarms.
V-Plex Motion Sensors are compatible with Honeywell control panels that support
V-Plex devices including Honeywell’s MAXPRO® Intrusion Control Panel Series and
use two‑wire loop technology to save you time and money.
V-PLEX PATENTED POLLING LOOP TECHNOLOGY
By using two wires instead of four, V-Plex offers significant advantages over peer-to-
peer wiring or the conventional four-wire multiplex. For example, since each sensor
can be installed using only two wires for both power and data, you spend less money
on wiring. V-Plex devices also draw minimal amounts of current, therefore requiring
fewer auxiliary power supplies.
DESIGNED FOR FASTER INSTALLATION
The mounting screw pre-drill collars and retention features, removable connector
blocks for easy access, and patented flashlight walk test make installation fast,
reducing labor costs and enabling you to move on to the next job quicker.

The Dual Tech sensors digitally adjust
thresholds to account for room
disturbances, such as ceiling fans and
other repetitive moving objects. The
result is excellent false alarm immunity
even in “active” rooms.
• SUPERIOR IR ANTI-MASK
PROTECTION
Highly sensitive, active infrared anti-
masking feature can easily detect
blocked, sprayed, or obstruction
attempts to disable the detector.
• PIR WHITE LIGHT IMMUNITY
A patented black bug guard reduces
false alarms by providing 6,500 lux of
white light immunity. This helps reduce
false alarm problems caused by lights,
flashlights, or reflective objects.
• SELECTABLE LOOK-DOWN ZONE
Provides better coverage up close with
multiple zones in the look-down area.
• FLASHLIGHT WALK TEST
Reduces installation time as the walk
test can be enabled by simply waving
a flashlight at the detector and it
automatically times itself out.
• ADVANCED DUALCORE SIGNAL
PROCESSING (DUAL TEC SENSORS)
Supports a multitude of advanced
functions, including concurrent
diagnostics, digital fluorescent
light interference filter, digital
adaptive microwave threshold,
adaptive baselines, and bidirectional
temperature compensation.
• FALSE ALARM IMMUNITY
The PIR and Dual Tech sensors are
designed to meet false alarm standards
including NF&A2P two shields and
EN50131-2-2 or EN50131-2-4.
Microprocessor controls help filter out
real signals from false sources.
• QUICK AND EASY INSTALLATION
Integrated screws, adjustable mounting
slots and a rotating mountain height
adjustment dial (DT8320 only) enable a
quick and easy installation for nearly all
surfaces and ceiling heights.
• FLEXIBLE MOUNTINGS
The V-Plex sensor family mounts on
walls, in corners or on ceilings, with
heights from 2.1m - 2.7m (6.9' - 8.9').
DT8320 Ceiling Mount sensor allows
a mounting height of 2.4m (8') to 8m
(26') with a maximum detection range
of Ø 21m (70').
