TIME: Holy Morning
SCENE:
At the interior of the church,
composed of many sits, where people are
comfortably setting and filled with a
dazzling color of windy curtains. The
sound of melodic musical instruments and
the orotund voice of John (a decent boy of
18, a senior high student and were living
and serving in the church since the
beginning) can be heard.
The divine service soon to start
( Carl enters the door, the assign pastor of
the church, a tall man of 22 years old
wearing formal dress with a shiny black
leather shoe).
(The noise of the people was heard in the
interior of the church and silenced
electrified as their pastor arrived).
CARL: Good morning my fellow sons of
God (greeting individually the audience).
(Each of the audience responded)
(Before the service was to start, Carl and
John talk to each other)
CARL: Hey John, good morning how was
your week at school?
JOHN: Good morning too Pastor Carl,
I’m fine thank you and it was Good at
school I always participate during class.
CARL: Very well John kept up the good
everything.
JOHN: Thanks pastor, I will.
(A minute before the divine service start,
Josh arrived at the church, an LGBT
member, a 19 years old wearing tattered
pants and gray denim long sleeve.)
JOSH: Hmmm, I’m so tired walking alone
in the street along in the blazing heat of the
sun and look! my pants and denim sleeves
are already sweaty. Oh no! I think I had a
bad day already I hate this kind of
situation!
(John went outside to welcome the visitors
and Josh kept murmuring about what had
happened earlier).
JOHN: Good morning, I’m John and I
lived and served this church since the
beginning. Would you mind to say your
name and where do you live because I
think it’s the first time I’ve seen you here
in the church
JOSH: Hmm, I’m Josh, I’m already 19
years old and I live at my auntie’s house.
And yes, it’s the first time you’ve seen me
in here and looks like it’s awkward for me
at this moment because since before I
never tried going to church because I think
it would just wasting time and lot works
need to be finished first.
JOHN: Well, then it’s nice seeing you
here I hope you would be blessed and
please come inside the service will soon
start.
JOSH: Wait let me fix my shoe lace first.
(Inside the church the people gather and
singing worship song together played by
instruments including piano and guitar.
And Josh enters the door.)
JOHN: Hey, let’s have a sit and I want to
introduce to you our assigned Pastor here.
JOSH: Oh, that would be great I am
excited on meeting him.
JOHN: I hope so.
(While walking John introduced Josh at
many people. Until they reach the sits
where Pastor Carl sits and started
introducing Josh to their Pastor.)
JOHN: Good morning Pastor, this is Josh
our new visitors he is now 19 years old (to
Carl) and Josh this is Pastor Carl our
Pastor here.
CARL: Good Morning John, hello Josh
nice to meet you welcome to our church
hope you will visit and attend our divine
service next Sunday? Be happy and I hope
you will be blessed.
JOSH: Hello pastor, It’s nice to meet you
too Pastor Carl it is my pleasure to meet
you and visit this church as my first time I
feel so nervous but am willing to listen the
amazing grace of God and His message.
CARL: Very well Josh, please be sited for
we are about to start our service and Josh
please accompany Josh.
JOHN: All right Josh let’s go here I
prepare you a comfortable sit.
JOSH: Thank you John for
accommodating me even if I’m just a
newly visitor here at your church.
JOHN: A fine welcome Josh, anyone
deserves to be accommodated even if a
visitor here at our church you can find
peace and you can start new beginning of
your life with God’s supervision.
(The divine service started, the Pastor
started his message and silence electrified
the audience.)
CARL: The best time for new beginnings,
is now. When you let go, you are truly
free. Say yes to new adventures and
change is the only key for our life begets
better. And when you let go, you create
space for something better. Whatever is
good for your soul do that because the
secret of getting ahead is getting started.
The bible has thought us that if any man be
in Christ, he is a new creature: old things
are passed away; behold all things are
become new. My fellow sons of God offer
your bodies a living sacrifice and do not be
conformed of this world for God is with us
beholding the evil and the good.
(Audience were amazed and blessed by
their Pastor’s message.)
JOSH: (Josh really feels the message
heartily that he even could not believe)
suddenly he thinks on his doings and he
thinks it was not right and it seems wicked
unto the eyes of God and he question
himself, “How can I be a son of God if I
have done wicked things all over my life”?
And “How can I offer myself a living
sacrifice”? (Too many questions were at to
him.)
(Every Sunday Josh attends the church
ceremonies; he used to read the bible for
the answers of his confusions. Until one
day Josh confronted Pastor Carl on asking
questions about his relationship with
God.)
JOSH: Good day John, is Pastor here?
JOHN: Good day too Josh, yes Pastor is
here what can we do for you?
JOSH: I just want to ask him about
something would you mind calling him? I
just want to ask question that would
answer my queries and confusions.
JOHN: Wait here Josh I will call Pastor
that you are here.
JOSH: Thanks a lot John don’t worry I’ll
wait here.
(A few moments later, Pastor Carl arrives
and they talk in private with Josh.)
CARL: Well, what’s bothering you Josh?
Are you having life problems? Would you
mind share it unto me? Let’s see what
advice I could give unto you.
JOSH: It’s all about my life and my
spiritual relationship with God. I am
worried and confuse that if I die I will go
to hell.
CARL: Hmmm, had you do something
bad or sinful unto the eyes of God? Have
you done things that cannot please God?
JOSH: Definitely, yes.
CARL: And what is it Josh? Tell me
about it.
JOSH: (Anxious) Pastor, I did something
bad, I engaged in sexual intercourse with
the same gender. At first, I think it as for
fun, its arousal thing to do but accordingly
God said be not conformed unto this
world, renew your mind and do righteous
things.
CARL: Hmmm, it’s my first time I heard
that kind of problem like yours Josh, it’s
new to me and it was my very first time I
experienced this.
JOSH: Every day, every night, every
second and every moment of my life I
keep wondering why I did that wicked
things in my life and I couldn’t stop
thinking how I failed to please God and
how I’ve lose my relationship with Him.
CARL: God loves us Josh, His door is
always welcome to those people who
wants repentance from their sins. All you
need to do is surrender yourself to Him;
believe on Him that He is your personal
savior that He died on the cross just to pay
our sins.
JOSH: Is that really are true? Does God
still love me even if I’m the wicked person
in the world?
CARL: I’m not kidding you Josh or trying
to trick you all the way, yes it is true God
loves those who repent their sins and those
who surrender. According to John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave
His only begotten son, that whosoever
believeth in Him shall not perish but have
everlasting life”, it is undoubtedly clear
that God really loves us even if you’re a
sinner. Come on Josh, surrender yourself
unto God, and flee yourself from sins that
keep you away from your relationship with
God.
JOSH: I will pastor, I will. Things get
worse since before I didn’t mind my
relationship with God. But now it seems to
be more comfortable and I felt so happy
that God still loves me even I’m a sinner.
Starting this day, I proclaimed myself as a
son of God, I believe on Him that He died
on the cross to pay all my sin and He is my
personal savior. Thus, He is only the way,
the truth and the life. Before I used to be
black but now I am white for His blood
cleanses my sinner heart.
CARL: Well done Josh, I’m sure God
would be so happy that now He has a new
son who was been a sinner but now are
forgiven. It’s a good choice Josh and
always remember God is always with us
whatever may happen. And always put
God at the center of everything, because
God’s plan is always best ever plan we can
have in this world, so be it.
JOSH: Thank you so much for the
salvation God. Thanks a lot Pastor Carl
this would be a day to remember.
CARL: It’s my pleasure Josh, welcome
and congratulation continue to praise and
worship God everyday make it a habit.
Come on let’s pray to God together with
John altogether we give thanks to God
who provide our needs every day.
(Their eyes closed as they are praying to
God.)
