• Explain the 3 main processes of a computer system?
The 3 main processes are:
Input – is data that is entered into or received by a computer.
Process – is a set of instructions currently being processed by
the computer processor.
Output – this stage of computing is concerned with producing
the processed data as information in a form that is useful to the
user.
• What is a computer system made up of?
A computer system is made up of hardware and software.
Hardware is the physical components of the computer and
software is the instructions that makes the computer work.
• Name 3 input devices you can think of?
1. Keyboard
2. Mouse
3. Bar Code Reader

• What are storage devices?
Storage devices refers to the hardware devices which can be
used to store digital data and applications which may be in
the form of images, video, audio, etc.
• Explain what are Operating System Software and give two
examples of operating systems?
A operating system software is a programme required to
manage and operate a computing device like smartphones,
tablets, computers, supercomputers, etc.
Two examples of operating systems are: Microsoft Windows
and Mac OS (Operating System).
• Explain what are Application Software’s and list 5 examples
of application software’s?
Application software’s refers to the computer software
packages that performs a specific function directly for an end-
user or, in some cases, for another application.
Here are 5 examples of application software’s: VLC media
player, Google Chrome, YouTube, Microsoft Word and Firefox.

• Research: Use the internet to do your research and write at
least two paragraphs explaining the functions of the Central
Processing Unit (CPU) plays in a computer system.
What we use in our daily life with computer like watching
videos, surfing internet, playing games, take video calls with
friends, etc. These are the things can only done with the help of
the Central Processing Unit (CPU).
The main function of the Central Processing Unit (CPU) is to
execute and process all the data's by performing some
mathematical operations and use some algorithms. There are
basically four functions in it : 1).Input the data – first the CPU
receives the data from the system and input it by the input
devices like mouse. 2).Process the data – After that, it process
all the data by performing some difficult operation like using
some calculations and use some algorithm. 3).Output the
function – Finally, it gives the function to the user on a
computer screen (monitor). 4).Store the data – then, it stores
all the data in our secondary memory (HDD, SSD, etc).
