The conflict began when the future holy Roman emperor Ferdinand II
attempted to impose Roman Catholic absolutism on his domains and the
Protestant nobles of both Bohemia and Austria rose up in rebellion.

Summary of event
The thirty year war started in the year 1618 and ended all the way ‘till 1648
and in fact it did last 30 years. Due to all the brutal fighting, attacks, etc.
Thousands and thousands of people lost their lives as a result of famine
caused by the conflict as well as an epidemic of typhus. In 1643
Denmark-Norway took up arms again and they were fighting on the side
of the Habsburgs and the holy roman empire. Around the same time
French Monarch Louis XIII died, leaving the throne to his 5 year old son
(Louis XIV).
Social Impacts of this event
Social impacts of these events were that it decimated a large portion of the
German population, destroyed crops, aided in the spread of disease and
obliterated the German economy from the small to large scale. People that
lived in Europe during that time were perhaps the most affected by the
war.
Political Impacts of this event
Political impacts of these events: Germany was split up, The Swiss
confederation and the Netherlands were declared as autonomous nations,
the Holy Roman Empire lost power and began to decline from the signing
of the Peace until modernity.
Economic Impacts of this event
The Thirty Years War impacted the economy because it obliterated the
German economy from the small to large scale. The german economy got
stronger from that change while the other countries either got no change
or got weaker.

The war first began between France, Spain, and Sweden and then later on
Germany, Denmark, and the Habsburg dynasty joined and out of all of
them Germany was the country that ended up being less populated and
ended up taking more shots than any other country.
Lasting Impacts of this event today
Germany's population is slowly increasing up to this day, Germans still
continue growing crops. The Holy Roman Empire was never made again.
