Graduate Engineer, BWB Consulting Ltd. Transport and Infrastructure Design Team.
Nottingham
● Worked on the design of surface water detention systems, adoptable public sewerage, rising
mains, pumping stations and SUDs Systems for a variety of projects.
● Used AutoCad Civil 3D and MicroDrainage on design analysis and hydraulic modelling of surface
water and sewer systems.
● Involved in the design of various highway schemes.
● Contributed to residential and commercial site design including grading, drainage design and
roadway layout.
● Liaising with engineers, architects, local authorities, contractors and suppliers.
● Gained knowledge and understanding of government building regulations and industry codes of
practice.

Intern Water Engineer, WET Consulting Ltd. Uganda
Spent 3 months volunteering in Gulu, Northern Uganda as a water engineer where I participated in the
following:

● Drilling and installing boreholes in for both private clients and rural communities.
● Selecting and installing solar or electric submersible pumps and hand pumps.
● Helping design and fit small-scale water distribution systems.
● Manage the drill team.
● Manage relationships with private clients and rural communities.
● Carried out water supply feasibility studies.
● Writing drilling reports and borehole handover agreements.
● Travelling and living in Uganda in both urban and rural environments.
July 2016 – July 2017
Year in industry with Dorset County Council, Highway Improvements Team.
Dorchester
● Assisted, then lead, topographical surveys for various improvements in the county.
● Prepared contract drawings using AutoCAD for a variety of different projects such as Great
Western Cross and Southgate junction (two large five-way junctions in the centre of Dorchester).
● Carried out a feasibility study which included developing options, preparing estimates, and
writing a report with recommendations for a variety of schemes.
● Used AutoCAD Civil 3D to review the safe stopping distance and drainage of different highway
designs.
● Carried out frequent site visits. Work included updating site diaries, measuring ground water
depth, taking photos and reviewing/monitoring the construction of key parts of the works.
