2 THE ROLE
Within the Global BI organization and under its governance, the MSC Technology Italy – BI Microsoft
Developer mission is to provide analysis, design, deployment for BI solutions, implementing project good
practices and quality processes. The position requires analytical and problem-solving skills with a technical
background and leadership skills.

3 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 CONTRIBUTION
• Design, build and deploy SSAS solutions
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms (SSAS)
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
• Develop and update technical documentation
• Provide guidance to the junior developers
• Develop and maintain Business Intelligence Dashboards (SSRS, Power BI)
• Perform and document data analysis, data testing, ad-hoc reports and POC validation using SQL on
MS SQL servers
• Support and back up to the Team Leader on the daily activity
• Participate to the daily support

3.2 ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide timely, complete, and accurate responses to the management and inquiries in a positive and
constructive manner.

• Complete ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Company.

• Pro-actively communicate relevant opportunities, risks, and issues to the management.
• Participate in defining and implementing BI project good practices and quality processes.

3.3 HIERARCHICAL REPORTING

6 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence (R)
- Strong Knowledge of the full BI stack (R)
- BI Project Management (P)
- Experience in Agile methodology (P)
- Experience in the maritime shipping industry (P)

- Proven Experience in designing multi dimensional (R)

or tabular cubes
- Proven Experience with DAX language (R)
- Proven Experience in Report Creation (R)
(PowerBI, SSRS or other visual tools)
- In-depth Knowledge of SQL Server language (R)

- Proven Experience in data quality or data management (P)

- Knowledge of any other BI reporting tool appreciated (P)

- Knowledge of azure cloud technologies appreciated (P)
