Introduction
This is an old roman city situated on Sevilla.
Was funded in 206 b.C. There are deposits
and indications of its much previous
occupation, among them Argaricos and
Greeks. During the republican period it was
an important city, and much more so in the
imperial era, even though it was never the
capital of a province or of a legal convent.

Hispania, more concrete in
Andalucia, close to Sevilla.

This is flat of the city.


Theater
The roman theater of Itálica was built
on the Cerro de San Antonio, to the
east of what was the first Roman city in
Hispania, Itálica, is located in the
current municipality of Santiponce
(province of Seville), in Andalusia
(Spain), founded in 206 BC.
amphitheater
It was built in the time of the Emperor
Adriano, approximately between the years
117-138 and was one of the largest in the
entire Roman Empire.

Under the level of the ancient wooden floor


of the amphitheater there was a service pit
for the different gladiator shows, called
munus gladiatorum and fights against
beasts, called venationes.
hot springs
They were built in what was the first city of
Hispania in 206 BC.

Two thermal complexes were built:

● The minor baths date from the time of Trajan,


under Hadrian's mandate their structure was
reinforced.
● The main baths date from the time of Hadrian.

Many remains of houses of rich and
important people have been found
which have been classified according
to the decoration of the mosaics: this
is the bird’s domuns, for the photo of
the right.

Temple of Trajan
The temple of Trajan of Italica, was built in
what was the first Roman city in Hispania,
Italica.

The Traianeum or Temple of Trajan is a


temple dedicated to the emperor Trajan,
born in Italica, and which was erected by
his nephew, the emperor Hadrian. It is
located in a square in Nova Urbs,
surrounded by a porticoed square.
Game of Thrones
This famous show was recorded, not all, but
some scenes in this old city for eight
seasons.
