IMPORTANCE OF CLEANLINESS
In the words of John Wesley, Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
Good Morning Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. Today I, Mukul/Mahima,
stand before you to highlight the importance of cleanliness.
Cleanliness is the state of being clean and keeping clean. It is essential for everyone to learn
the importance of hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness to remain safe from various diseases
that spread due to lack of cleanliness. It is crucial to maintain a healthy environment at
school and at home for physical well-being. An unclean environment is an invitation for
poor immunity.

Hence, it is imperative to inculcate these habits right from a young age. Washing hands
regularly, brushing and bathing goes across for personal hygiene. Keeping public spaces
clean is also within our domain. ‘Swacch Bharat’ campaign indicates a clean and healthy
nation. Teachers and students of our school are participating in this campaign with great
fervour.

As a famous quote goes, ‘A healthy mind resides in a healthy body’. This is important for
overall economic productivity developing into better and higher standards of living.
Further, this will boost our country’s image in the international scenario. To conclude,
cleanliness is the emblem of purity of mind.

Thank you
