Cartoon bases are the foundations of a cartoon character. In this blog post, you will learn how to
draw basic shapes that can be used as the basis for any animal, human or fantasy character.
A cartoon base is the starting point for creating a unique and recognizable character. A good cartoon
base should be simple and easy to work with. It should also be expressive and allow for a wide range
of emotions.
One of the most important aspects of creating a successful cartoon is having a strong foundation, or
"base", to work from. This becomes especially important when drawing multiple frames or "poses"
of the same character in order to create animation. In this blog post, we'll show you how to draw a
basic cartoon base that can be used for a variety of different characters.
The first step is to sketch out the basic shape of the character. For our example, we'll be drawing a
human-like character, so we'll start with a simple oval for the head and two circles for the eyes.
Next, add some basic facial features like a nose and mouth. You can also add some hair or other
distinguishing characteristics at this stage.
Now it's time to start fleshing out the details of the face and body. Start by adding pupils to the eyes
and then move on to adding wrinkles, eyebrows, and other small details. For the body, you can start
by drawing some simple clothing like a shirt and pants. Again, add any additional details that you
feel are necessary.
Once you're happy with how your character looks, it's time to start thinking about movement.

Techniques for Drawing Better Bases
One of the first things to keep in mind when drawing a cartoon base is the overall shape. Is it round,
oval, square, rectangular, or something else? The shape of the base will often dictate the overall look
and feel of the cartoon. For example, a round base is often used for characters that are meant to be
cute or Friendly.
Once you've decided on the general shape of the base, it's time to start adding details. This is where
you'll really start to define the character. What kind of nose does he have? What kind of mouth?
What kind of eyes? Does he have any other distinguishing features?

As you add more and more details to the base, it's important to step back and evaluate the overall
composition from time to time. Is everything balanced? Does the character look too busy or
cluttered? Sometimes less is more when it comes to drawing cartoon bases.
By following these tips and techniques, you should be well on your way to creating strong cartoon
drawing.
