Executive Summary

Axis Communication AB is a Sweden based company which was founded in the year 1984. The company
initially started as an IT firm which used to sell the servers for printers. Later on soon it embarked on the
networking front and provide network solutions for cameras in the security industry. Axis
Communication AB’s headquarter is based in Lund, Sweden. Currently, Axis is focusing more on
expanding the security network for audio and video surveillance, providing products and solutions for
access control and improve the security for more sustainable business practice.

Axis Communication AB joined the United Nation Global Compact (UNGC) in the year 2008 and since
then it is has embarked on adhering to the principles of UNGC and take part in corporate social

of more than 3600 employees and turnover ratio is bare minimum. On the other hand, Axis is providing
an extensive range of learning and training programs to educate more people. It can be viewed in their
2020 Annual review and sustainability report that Axis has make numerous efforts on providing the best
possible return to the environment since it has joined hands with UN Global Compact.

The 2020 Annual review and sustainability report comprises of around 76 pages with their 6 major
sections and 29 elaborated sections which provides the insight of work done in conjunction with the
principles of UNGC. The report also includes the GRI Content Index along with the principles of UNGC on
which Axis makes their action. On total of 17 principles define by UN Global Compact, the Axis
Communication have given their remarks as to what extent it has implemented and has been doing
exercise.

As per the above GRI index it is indicated that as far as the Environment is concerned the emission of
CO2 is declined as compared to previous years whether than it is through papers or inbound deliveries or
from the outbound deliveries the Axis has managed to lower it down. However, the large reduction in
emission is also influenced by the Covid-19 and though it has helped the company to provide
environmental benefit. On the other side the data abstracted from the employees shows that the
company has maintained ratio of men and women through-out years. But, the shocking part is that the
company’s young force is declined from 15% to 11% in 2020. Although, the Covid-19 had a huge impact
over the global but still Axis managed to hold the employees to maintain their employment ratio.
Nevertheless, the company also managed to reduce their turnover ratio from 7.6 in the year 2019 to 5.7
in the year 2020 which is quite recognizable.

Human Rights

P1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights;
and

P2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Axis is dedicated to innovation for a smarter, safer world, balancing society's need for security with the
protection of personal privacy. Respecting human rights is part of Axis' commitment to be compliant
with the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. Respecting human rights and promoting ethical use of
Axis products and solutions are also an essential part of the Axis code of conduct. The invasion of human
rights and personal privacy is among the most serious ethical issues linked with utilizing Axis products.
Axis works hard to combat and prevent all sorts of human rights abuses, discrimination, and injustice.
The overarching goal is to ensure that all Axis products and solutions are utilized appropriately and
responsibly.

Labor

P3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to
collective.

It was observed that at Axis the corporate culture, as well as the capacity to attract, develop, and retain
workers, are important aspects in Axis' success. These are also necessary for long-term competitiveness,
progress, and prosperity. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, employees worked mostly or fully from home
in the year 2020. In order to keep employees being innovative, flexible, and hopeful, a range of digital
activities including fikas, yoga sessions, lunches and other types of activity were offered.

Axis also provided a variety of trainings, projects, and programs for professional and personal growth.

Environmental

Throughout the year, a greater emphasis has been placed on the environmental elements on the
development of products. This has included eliminating chlorinated and brominated flame
retardants (CFR and BFR) from goods and experimenting with ways to use more bioplastic and recycled
plastic. Under the Road Map Directive, the company's 5-year product development strategy a now
includes sustainability considerations.

In terms of the company's contribution to environmentally sustainable development, Axis is expected to
