Wherever appropriate you can use case studies/ examples of

accidents to discuss the following deliverables.

1. Discuss about the variety of rules and technology used for

aviation security. Do you think the rules and technology used in
aviation security are sufficient to ensure safety? Evaluate the
use of rules and technology for aviation safety.

2. Provide an accident scenario at an airport. Using your

judgement, design a contingency plan demonstrating the steps
you are going to follow immediately after the occurrence.

The report length is expected to be around 4000 words

PART 1

•1 Discuss about the variety of rules (liquid and aerosol, unruly passenger,

sterile concourse, baggage reconciliation and so on….) and technology used

( flight V(on board cameras recording system), BOSS(body orifice security

scanner), reinforced cockpit door, backscatter, x-rays technologies,

profiling) for aviation security. Do you think the rules and technology used

in aviation security are sufficient to ensure safety? Evaluate the use of rules

and technology for aviation safety.

2.Provide a real accident scenario at an airport ( use an airport crash landing

situation, for example Air France flt 358 or LOT flt 16, what has been done?
the scenario should be discussed listing step by step what has been done)

What do you think about it? What would you have done in the same

situation? Using your judgement, design a contingency plan demonstrating

the steps you are going to follow immediately after the occurrence (I might

suggest to use LOT 16 crash landing as your personal reference)
