Good morning, everyone.

I am very happy to have this chance to give my

presentation. Before I start my speech, let me introduce myself first. My

name is Li Mengmeng, from China. I am now studying in University of

tokushima. Today I will share my research with you and the title of my

presentation is "Implementation of the platform of Japanese Learning

with Videos". OK, let’s start.

Let me introduce the outline first, my presentation will be given in four

parts: the first part concerns about the background of my research. And

the second part relates to the system, which I and my partner are

developing. In the third part, we will discuss the future prospect. Finally, I

will summarize my presentation.

Well, let's move on to the first part---the background.

In this part, I want to introduce two terms: Mobile learning and podcast.

Mobile learning, maybe you are very familiar with it, one of its definition

is learning that happens across locations, or that takes advantage of

learning opportunities offered by portable technologies, such as mobile

phones and PDAs. Maybe you will ask what kinds of advantages can be

provided by the mobile phone.

Next, I will introduce the system named LOCH that Mr. wada and I are

developing now. The full name of the LOCH is Language Learning

Outside of the Classroom with Handhelds. It's a mobile learning system.

And it's designed to assist foreign students to learn Japanese in real life
with the help of the portable device.

Next part, future prospect. Recently, the release of apple’s new iPhone

really has a great impact on the Mobile learning. It’s so amazing and

inspiring that someone even say “the real mobile learning device is

coming”. Even though it still have some of the same limitations of any

mobile learning device, it does give us a good glimpse of the future. And

more and more institutions are involving in the research with iPhone,

such as Abilene Christian University.

Finally, I would like to summarize my presentation. First, I explained two

terms in the first part. And then, I briefly talked about the LOCH system.

Considering the disadvantages of the system, I designed the new flow and

targets of the system. And the fourth part we discussed the future

prospect.
