LOGLINE:
To prove that anyone could go viral, a smart young-adult successfully

becomes infamous anonymously under the moniker ‘Reptile’ who seems like
a wannabe (Chapri) with his cringe rap song. His journey as Reptile and
living this duality is nothing short of a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
SUMMARY:
Reptile is a dramedy serial web series which starts with showcasing

Sailesh’s journey as Reptile. The first season begins when Reptile has
already gone viral for his cringe song “(Raptile)” and everyone is impatiently
itching to know the person behind Reptile, including a famous reality TV
show. If Sailesh, the person behind Reptile reveals himself, he could pay off
the debt of the audio studio that he co-owns with his best friend, Rituraj.
Now, Sailesh desperately wants to get married to his girlfriend, Manisha.
But Manisha’s father has only one condition: that Sailesh first pays off the
debt. Sailesh finds himself in a Catch-22 situation since his real world
wouldn’t accept someone like Reptile. While trying to balance his dual life,
his closest people start suspecting him of being shady which Sailesh tries
to dodge for a while. Eventually, when he gets cornered, Sailesh decides to
choose an appropriate candidate who’d claim to be Reptile. This would put
an end to all their suspicion. He chooses Junaid, a Chapri who is well
known to Sailesh and a dependable person. Just when Sailesh thinks he
has finally sorted everything, another Chapri claims to be Reptile.
Consequently, a digital media house then prepares a reality show to find
out who the real Reptile is. The show, as it eventually turns out, is made just
to earn money by mocking both the candidates. Such embarrassment
stings Sailesh and he realizes how such hatred can affect a person deeply
for just putting out their art. Reptile stands up for such artists who are
trolled just because some people dislike their aesthetics and mock these
artists openly to feel superior. In the process, Sailesh, Manisha, Rituraj,
Apeksha (Rituraj’s love interest) become friends with the 2 Chapri
candidates who claim to be Reptile. From mocking such artists to getting a
better understanding of their lives and emotions, Sailesh discovers
compassion for Chapris and others who face such mockery. He finds his
voice as Reptile and advocates that everyone should be treated with

kindness regardless of their personal opinion on anybody’s art. The show

‘Reptile’ is a fun ride from mocking a person shamelessly to finding
kindness towards them regardless of the question of acceptance.
CHARACTERS:
SAILESH (28): He is an intelligent and talented person who loves to

challenge himself but suffers from imposter syndrome which holds
him back. He has a healthy ego but lacks composure especially when
his childhood best friend, Rituraj, tries to bully him. He’s sensitive
when it comes to his mother who dealt with mental illness and
passed away during his adolescence. Sailesh wants to get married to
his live-in girlfriend, Manisha, who’s an independent and strong
woman.
RITURAJ(28): He co-owns the audio studio named SCAS with Sailesh.

He is selfish, arrogant, facetious and bizarre. He’s competitive with
Sailesh and tries to bring him down whenever he gets the
opportunity. Due to his personality, he doesn’t have any close friends
apart from Sailesh. Most things seem unimpressive to him. He enjoys
drinking alcohol.
JUNAID(25): Junaid is the all-in-one assistant to Sailesh and Rituraj at

SCAS. He looks like a typical Chapri and is petite. By nature, he’s
hardworking, loyal and ambitious. He’s also gullible and sensitive
because of which his Chapri gang bullies him.
TABREZ(24): Tabrez is also a typical looking Chapri but with goggles.

He’s learning to become a tailor from his father, Abbas Bhai who is
already an established Head Tailor with an up and coming costume
stylist, Apeksha, working in Bollywood. Since he doesn’t have a
mother, he takes care of the household and loves his kid brother,
Imraan.
CHAPRI (16-30): A wannabe who generally has a peculiar hairstyle, a

KTM bike or perhaps a Honda for stunts. Their species are usually
found in groups of 3-7. They also carry a DSLR camera and upload
strange or cringe pictures/short videos of themselves on social
media apps like Instagram/TikTok/Moj/YouTube shorts very
frequently. They go by many names like emobois, nibbas, etc.

EPISODES SUMMARIES:
EP 1: RE-PILOT-ILE
1. Reptile’s song ‘Raptile’ plays along with its music video while simultaneously
(intercut) establishing that the song has gone viral. The music video has the
artist in a black hoodie with a unique Reptile design on it. The artist’s face
has been pixelated and he’s superimposed (composited) on shots of the
places related to the lyrics’ content and there’s a heavy radio effect on the
voice making the vocal texture unrecognizable yet pleasing. It’s a low
budget video with very tik tok aesthetics. Alongside, the song is being
played and enjoyed at various places including at an event hosted at
Bandra amphitheater where lots of people of all types gather just to rap
this song together. The music video continues. (and match cuts to..)
2. The video plays on a cheap phone. At an audio studio called SideChain
Audio Solutions or SCAS where Sailesh and Rituraj (late 20s) watch the
video on Junaid’s phone. Rituraj is uninterested and when he gives the
credit of the song just to the mixing, Sailesh questions Rituraj’s belief that
such artists who go viral have some special talent. This triggers an earlier
argument they’d had in the past where Sailesh had mocked one such
cringe viral song and they had fought because Rituraj had insisted that
such artists go viral because they’re special and talented. Sailesh feels it’s
disrespectful when Rituraj sends Junaid to bring cigarettes since Junaid
was hired as an assistant/intern for the studio. Junaid is just another
Chapri from Kurla who loves music and audio and hence doesn’t mind
doing any of these chores since he feels lucky to be learning from them
while getting paid. Rituraj makes Sailesh shut up rather rudely when Sailesh
demands Rituraj to be respectful towards Junaid. Throughout, Rituraj is
distracted on his phone texting his new love interest - Apeksha, a costume
stylist. It’s very rare that Rituraj is interested in someone (or likes anything
regular for that matter) and hence Sailesh gets excited about her . Rituraj
asks Sailesh to meet them for drinks with his long-time live-in girlfriend,
Manisha, the next day in the evening and he’d introduce them to Apeksha.
3. Right outside of Apeksha’s door, the Ali brothers - Tabrez (24) and Imraan
(13) - are struggling to hold a pile of clothes and ringing the bell. While
Apeksha gets out of the shower, Tabrez raps Raptile to distract and
motivate his little brother so that he doesn’t drop the clothes on the dirty
floor as instructed by their strict father, Abbas Bhai who is the Head Tailor
working with Apeksha. Apeksha enjoys listening to Tabrez rap from inside
while she puts on her clothes. She meets them warmly and suggests that
Tabrez raps professionally. Tabrez, a typical Chapri, in his quintessential
style, poetically tells her that he has just been going with the flow in life.
TABREZ: “Hum toh kismat ke hawale hai. Jahaan hawa kheech le, humne
wahin apne pankh faelaane hai.”

4. Like anything that goes viral, Raptile is either loved or hated. Wasainika, a
journalist for a digital media house named Scoopster, tells her colleague,
Minhaj, that she believes that Raptile’s lyrics are problematic since it
encourages rape culture. She’s upset since she had submitted her article
about him to their immediate senior, who rejected it and she has now been
instructed to rewrite it while keeping Reptile in a positive light. Minhaj tries
to explain to her how such Chapris are not supposed to be taken seriously
and it’s just cheap entertainment. He shows her how a typical Chapri is by
giving her examples from Reptile’s website’s meme section. Even after
watching and considering this point of view, Wasainika plans to get her
article published as it is by getting it approved by her super-senior, Sameer
Sir.
5. At night during dinner, Tabrez’s father, Abbas Bhai, tells Tabrez to show up
the next day at the shoot location after finishing tailoring a pair of pants
and to learn since it’s going to be a big shoot. Abbas gets drunk and
throws a tantrum when he finds that the shape of the roti that Tabrez has
cooked isn’t perfect and leaves dramatically. Imraan gets scared. Tabrez
tells him how their mother would’ve sung a lullaby to make him feel better
but since Imraan isn’t a kid anymore, he raps Eminem for him and this
makes Imraan giggle and feel better.
6. At SCAS, as usual Rituraj bullies Sailesh and misbehaves with Junaid.
Rituraj confirms that the rapper “Rap Raja” is to arrive tomorrow to record a
rap on the jingle for “Dua Banyan”. Sailesh also enquires Rituraj about a
deal with a producer who wanted to use their song for his upcoming
feature film. Sailesh had forwarded Rituraj’s number to this producer to
discuss commercials and lock the deal. Rituraj animatedly tells him that he
turned out to be the producer who had produced the corny blockbuster
film ‘O Sanam Bewafa’. Sailesh gets excited. Rituraj then proudly tells him
how brutally he fucked the producer’s happiness! When Rituraj was asked
to change the language of the lyrics of their English song, he agreed and
asked the producer to send him the contract. Once he got the contract, he
vindictively asked the producer to change the language of it. Sailesh is
furious with Rituraj because they could have made Rs. 10 L by selling the
track and paid off their studio’s loan. To calm Sailesh down, Rituraj slyly
distracts him by just joking around facetiously.
7. Next day at the shoot, Tabrez starts helping Apeksha and her costume
team by dealing with the extras. He is given the responsibility to handle
their clothes. Tabrez falls in love with a black leather jacket there and
imagines how he’d look wearing it on stage. Apekhsa gets late for her date
with Rituraj and leaves the responsibility of the clothes for the extras with
Tabrez.
8. At The Beer Chillers, Rituraj and the gang meet up with Apeksha. The DJ
plays Raptile and that triggers a conversation about the song. Apeksha
expresses how she thinks it’s catchy whereas Manisha hates it. Rituraj
claims to like the song to impress Apeksha. His hypocrisy leads to a fight
between Sailesh and him. Rituraj hits Sailesh below the belt by bringing up

his traumatic childhood years when Sailesh’s mom would dress him up as a
girl and send him to school. Sailesh is enraged and consequently is rude to
Manisha when she tries to pacify him.
9. At home, in the bathroom, Manisha is passive-aggressive with Sailesh while
he reads the news headlines on his phone. From the news, he learns that
people are going crazy to know the real person behind Reptile. In fact, a
famous Reality Show is willing to pay Reptile a huge sum of money to reveal
himself and be a part of the show. While talking, Manisha says that she
really liked Apeksha except for the fact that Apeksha likes the Raptile song
but it’s a temporary problem since her father, an MLA with BJP, has filed a
case against it to get it banned from everywhere. When Sailesh finds it
petty that an MLA feels the need to ban some pointless song –
MANISHA
“Sita ke baare main aisa openly bologe India mein toh what do you expect?”
SAILESH
“But you remember that very line, don't you? That's what grabs attention.”
MANISHA
“Here's something that should grab your attention. Dad poochh rahe the
about your studio. Ki kaisa chal raha hai.”
Manisha reminds him that he needs to pay off the studio’s loan for her
dad’s approval for their marriage. Sailesh jokingly calls her father a villain.
MANISHA
“Unko apne beti ki fikar hai aur mujhe unpe fakar hai, aur tu bas ek stupid
fucker hai.”
Sailesh goes to the studio at this hour. He lies to Manisha claiming that he
has to finish the O Sanam Bewafa’s producer’s track. Manisha tells him how
she thinks that he has been acting very fishy lately. He casually jokes about
it and leaves which makes Manisha even more suspicious of him.
10. Next day at Scoopster, Wasainika wants to show Minhaj Reptile’s response
to her article but finds Reptile’s website as suspended. Wasainika then
remembers taking a screenshot of it. In the response, Reptile has
complimented Wasainika on her writing and defended his work by calling it
entertainment. The decency in his response, makes Wasainika doubt his
identity as a Chapri.
11. After school, Imraan and his best friend, Bilal, are at Tabrez’s home looking
for porn CDs that Imraan feels are hidden somewhere in the cupboard.
While looking for it, Imraan stumbles upon a black leather jacket with the
Reptile emblem identical to the one in Reptile’s music video. They are both
shocked to realize that Tabrez is Reptile. Imraan asks Bilal to keep it a
secret till he investigates more about it because if it’s true, he knows that
his father would kill Tabrez.

12. Rituraj phones Apeksha with some good news and wants to celebrate with
her at her place. Apeksha doesn’t want to get physical with him already and
hence asks him that she’d love to know more on the phone. He tells her that
now he has been contacted by a director to sell his song, to be made into
the theme song for an upcoming web series! It’s almost a done deal. He’s
arrogant about it and then in excitement, he spills the fact that he is going
to be the one who’d pay the loan for SCAS single handedly and that would
mean that he could finally make all the decisions at SCAS. He, slyly, then
turns the conversation around by pretending that, in reality, he just wants
to make Sailesh proud. He preaches that one must have strong principles
and everyone must stick to them like he did since he did not compromise
by selling his song to the ‘O Sanam Bewafa’ producer and "good things
come to those who wait".
13. Junaid hangs out with his gang of Chapris. They are making wheelie videos
for Tik-Tok. The gang purposely gives Junaid a bike that is too heavy for
him so that they could mock him. When he fails to do it, they bully him into
giving them Rs. 5000 for the negligent damage to the bike.
14. At home, Imraan indirectly confronts Tabrez if he’s Reptile. Tabrez just finds
it amusing and teases him. Their dad comes back before Tabrez can clarify
anything. Imraan assumes that Tabrez is Reptile.
PREVIOUS NIGHT:
15. Sailesh is tense and isn’t getting any sleep. He considers many options but
then finally gets up and sneaks out of the house. AT THE SAME TIME,
Wasainika wakes up to a call from a friend who sends her a link to her
article’s response that has been posted on Reptile’s website. She sleepily
checks it out briefly, takes a screenshot to read it later and dozes off.
16. Sailesh reaches SCAS. He logs on to the Reptile website and decides to
deactivate it.
17. FLASHBACK MONTAGE (from the last few months): When Sailesh mocks a
cringe viral song, Rituraj shuts him up by claiming that writing such a song
needs special talent and isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Sailesh gets motivated
to write a song that would go viral. Sailesh makes notes of the ingredients
required to write such a song by studying other such songs. By the end of
his study, the notes look something like: 1. Vulgar 2. Sexist 3. Celebrity
references 4. Catchy, repetitive lines 5. Look the part 6. Alter ego like Slim
Shady. Sailesh records Raptile.
18. Finally, with a heavy heart, Sailesh deactivates the website.

EP 2: YOU ARE REPTILE
1. At the hospital, a 38 year old woman is dying. She proudly gives her son all
her jewelry and asks him to wear it and show her before she dies, it’s her
last wish. The son’s best friend is shocked and looks at his friend, the son,
who accepts it calmly. He asks his best friend for help with the jewelry.
Bewildered with the idea of his friend wearing jewelry, he rudely tells him
that he shouldn’t ask his boyfriend but his girlfriend, Manisha. The son
wears it all for her. She says “kitni sundar lag rahi hai tu”. Emergency with
the mom!
2. At SCAS, Junaid is setting up the mic when he gets a call from Rituraj.
Rituraj worriedly tells him that ‘Rap Raja’ has canceled the recording and
since they are on a deadline, he has been calling other rappers for the ‘Dua
Banyan’ jingle. Before Junaid can tell him that he has already reached the
studio and if he can get the advance payment, Rituraj hangs up since he’s
getting a call back from one of the rappers he tried to contact for the
jingle.
3. Since everything’s already set up and there’s no recording, Junaid has the
whole studio to himself. He decides to record one of his own tracks. While
he’s in the middle of recording himself, Sailesh enters the studio and
Junaid is surprised.
4. Sailesh wasn’t informed that the recording had been canceled and he is
angry with Rituraj. Sailesh asks Junaid to rap the song he was recording
but he’s too shy to continue. Sailesh just plays whatever little he had
recorded and Junaid thinks it’s awful when it’s actually decent. Sailesh asks
him to record the Dua Banyan jingle. They work on cracking it and get
friendly while they’re at it. Sailesh sees potential in Junaid and notices his
will to learn. He is excited to get Rituraj’s opinion.
5. Apeksha has been trying to connect with Rituraj since she has had a
terrible day calling for payments. Since Rituraj has been making calls, he’s
not been able to talk to her. Apeksha calls her best friend to vent who
thinks he’s losing interest in her since she has not been physical with him.
Finally when Rituraj speaks to her, he tells her about the rapper situation
and how desperate he is. Apeksha suggests that he should give Tabrez a
chance. Rituraj doesn’t want to risk it. Apeksha tells him that she’d kiss him
if he gives Tabrez a chance. Rituraj agrees.
6. Sailesh fights with Rituraj about not telling him about the change of plans
and then tries to dominate him for a change by telling him how he sorted
the situation because he has made Junaid rap it already. Rituraj can’t
tolerate such an attitude from Sailesh and tells him that they can’t make
Junaid rap obviously because then how can they make him work for them
and they’d lose their star assistant. He announces that Tabrez would rap
the song. His logic about Junaid is capitalistic but sound.
7. Abbas tells Tabrez about the next day’s hectic work schedule. Tabrez wants
a day off because he wants to record for the jingle. Abbas is furious and

threatens to throw him out of the house if he does not obey. Tabrez, for the
first time in his life, stands up for himself but his father stands his ground.
Tabrez gives in to his father’s wishes. Imraan cannot let this happen. He
spills out his truth about Tabrez, that he’s Reptile and anonymously super
famous. The father is confused, Tabrez considers that being Reptile might
ameliorate his situation and hence goes with Imraan’s make-believe story.
But it backfires with his father. Both Tabrez and Imraan get thrown out of
the house.
8. To understand Sailesh’s suspicious behavior, Manisha slyly goes to Rituraj
and investigates how the ‘O Sanam Bewafa’ producer’s project is going.
Rituraj finds it odd that Manisha is speaking to him. He cautiously tells her
the truth that the project has been canceled. Manisha gets visibly excited.
She ends up asking Rituraj for the truth because she’s sure now that
Sailesh has been lying about working on the track. She suspects him of
having an affair. Rituraj ke andar ki bro code jagg jaati hai. He misleads her
and confuses her about the track by lying about the ‘O Sanam Befawa’
producer with another track. When Manisha isn’t entirely convinced and
confronts Rituraj about Sailesh having an affair. Rituraj tells her that he can
vouch for Sailesh that he would never cheat on her and even if he had, he
would never tell her!
9. Rituraj discusses this matter with Apeksha. Rituraj suspects Sailesh of
secretly selling off a song of theirs whereas Apeksha claims that he’s surely
cheating on Manisha since Manish thinks so and women are always right
when it comes to these things. She suggests that since it’s a delicate
situation, Rituraj treads carefully and finds out more without confronting
Sailesh. They conclude that if he’s having an affair then it could only be via
a dating app because Rituraj usually knows all about his whereabouts.
Perhaps, as of now it’s only an online affair. When Rituraj thinks more about
it, he has noticed Sailesh spending more time on the laptop than before
doing some private business claiming that he’s into trading.
10. At SCAS, Rituraj tries to discuss some trading nonsense convincingly which
Sailesh doesn’t object to. Then he talks about some dating app features.
Soon Sailesh gets irritated and overreacts. Rituraj tells him that he knows
that he (Sailesh) is up to some mischief. This is problematic for Sailesh.
Rituraj makes a note of Sailesh’s reaction. Rituraj thinks of other ways to
make Sailesh confess.
11. Rituraj finally has an idea on how to crack this. He casually tells Sailesh that
he has been catfishing people on dating apps. He explains the concept of
catfishing and then when Sailesh asks him who he is pretending to be,
Rituraj says it could be a nice girl whom Sailesh would really like or maybe
as “Reptile”. This triggers Sailesh. He can’t digest this. He doesn’t know
whether Rituraj already knows the truth or if he’s being random. He doesn’t
want to risk the confrontation but he’s sure of one thing now that he needs
to put a complete end to this Reptile business.
12. Manisha is worried that she misunderstood Sailesh and now Rituraj would
tell Sailesh all about her suspicions. When Sailesh returns home, he’s

worried and he can’t even share his misery with his partner. Watching
Sailesh all worked up, hassles Manisha more. To break the ice, she talks
about the film that she was watching and how this murderer got away even
though all the clues were leading to point at him but then someone else
claimed to be the murderer. This gives Sailesh the idea on how to end the
whole Reptile chapter. Someone else needs to claim to be Reptile!
13. Junaid is upset that he didn’t get the advance and that he didn’t get the
opportunity to record for the jingle. To make up for his disappointment,
Sailesh encourages him to record his track that he was trying to record
earlier.
14. Junaid is happy with what he has recorded and really excited about it.
Without telling his friends that it’s his song, he plays it for his gang. They
mock the track. Junaid gets miserable.
15. Sailesh needs time alone to think about his situation and excuses himself
and goes to the studio to think. He finds Junaid there who is messed up. To
help himself and Junaid, Sailesh tells Junaid that he should pretend to be
Reptile. If someone else can convince the world that they are Reptile then
it’d never be a problem for him.
16. Junaid likes the idea but he’s scared and doesn’t want to get into trouble.
Sailesh tells him that his friend is actually Reptile but he doesn’t want to
reveal himself and wants Junaid to be the face and that they wouldn’t make
money out of it ever so it won’t be illegal. Junaid agrees but doesn’t know
how to go about it. Sailesh trains Junaid to be Reptile.
17. Later some rowdy loan sharks come and hassle Sailesh and Rituraj for not
returning the loan. Sailesh realizes that Rituraj had got them a loan from an
unworthy source. The goons tell them to return the money soon else they’d
sell off their equipment. Rituraj had lied about taking the loan through his
father but now he explains that Sailesh already knows what kind of a
person his father is and hence he had refused to help out. Sailesh is angry
and doesn’t care about it.
18. Sailesh has a terrible fight with Rituraj. They decide to stop talking and shut
down SCAS when they run out of time. Rituraj vindictively asks him to sell off
his mom’s jewelry and they’ll be fixed and if not so then he doesn’t see a way
out of it and wouldn’t come to the studio just to waste his time.

EPISODE 3: DOUBLE TROUBLE
1. Dream Seq: A young boy (10) is getting beaten up by the father for refusing
to add alcohol to his cold drink. The father and the boy are drinking
alcohol together. The boy doesn’t want to but is forced to drink. The boy is
then asked to put on music. On top of the player there’s an open empty
Jagjit Singh tape so he rewinds it. There’s a similar sound.
2. Manisha is using her epilator. Sailesh wakes up in a sweat. Manisha asks
him if he’s okay. He takes his phone and hesitates to call Rituraj. Manisha
shakes her head in disappointment. Sailesh doesn’t care. He calls him. No
answer. Calls again. No answer.
3. Rituraj is at home drinking alone. He calls Apeksha who asks him why he’s
not at the studio. He explains (MOS montage). She asks him to apologize to
Sailesh and stop drinking and find a way to save the studio. He listens to
her. He says he’d call the director he was talking about and sell the song
ASAP and save the day. Apeksha tells him categorically that he should
anyhow get this deal done now or he could go back to the O Sanam Bewafa
guy and apologize and sell the track for cheaper. He agrees on the surface
but we know he won’t. He asks her to come over, she says she’s busy. When
he gets a little pissed, she tells him “I’m not your girlfriend”. This stings him.
4. He calls the director but the guy doesn’t answer. He continues to drink. He
desires company but realizes that he doesn’t have any other friends to call.
He thinks of calling his father but then makes another drink. Says “cheers,
dad.”
5. Bilal’s brother, Saeed, gets scolded by his parents loudly for keeping Tabrez
and Imraan at home. They know that Tabrez isn’t even a close friend of his.
He justifies all of it by telling them that he’s Reptile and that’s the only
reason. It’s like an investment because he’ll soon be really rich and then
he’d be indebted to him.
6. Imraan asks complicated questions to Tabrez about his Reptile journey.
Tabrez tells him the truth after making him promise that he wouldn’t reveal
the truth till they find a permanent place to stay.
7. At Scoopster, Wasainika and Minhaj in unison tell each other “Tune dekha,
Reptile mil gaya?” When Wasainika claims that they finally found him in
Kurla, Minhaj corrects her and says he lives in Virar. They realize that they
are talking about different guys. They come to an understanding that both
Tabrez and Junaid are being credited as Reptile. They think there’s a story
to be written.
8. Their super senior, Sameer sir, tells Wasainika to cover the lives of both of
them with videos. He doesn’t know what he wants to do with it but it needs
to be done ASAP so that they get the news out pronto. They have an
advantage on the news since Reptile had replied to Wasainika on his
website. She thinks to keep it quick and not compromise the quality of it,
she’ll need help. Minhaj is asked to assist her for half days.

9. Minhaj is excited. They both laugh about these Chapris and what they
expect from them.
10. A montage of Scoopster kids finding Tabrez’s address and interviewing
Abbas bhai and the neighbors. They interview Imraan’s teachers, Saeed’s
parents, Apeksha, etc. Wasainika is leading and Minhaj helps her on and
off. We see poverty and tough circumstances they live in.
11. Next they do the same for Junaid. We see them interview his family, friends,
Rituraj and Sailesh.
12. While watching snippets of the videos they have, Minhaj laughs at Junaid’s
Chapri friends. Wasainika is in no mood to laugh. She feels emotional about
Imraan. Also, she feels something isn’t right. Minhaj has no idea since he
hasn’t seen all the footage.
13. Next day, Wasainika reaches the office early excitedly and finds that
something is cooking since the head of the company is present. Sameer
inquires about them, she tells him that they are “simple” boys. Sameer looks
disappointed and then talks to the head of the company about it.
14. Sameer tells them to hand over all the material on both the Reptile boys.
Instinctively, Wasainika lies and tells him that she has put the HDDs for
backup and hence she hasn’t brought them today. Wasainika is asked to go
home and get the HDDs immediately.
15. Wasainika calls Minhaj and tells him that they are not just “researchers” but
writers and to not share any of the Reptile info to Scoopster.
16. Later, Wasainika is asked to handover all the files/info to the company. She
refuses. They tell her it’s the company’s property and they’d fire her if she
doesn’t and sue her. She says that by mistake it all got deleted. Gives them
empty HDDs.
17. She’s crying at home, her flatmate asks her what happened and she says
that she’s been fired from her beloved job. The friend consoles her.
Wasainika’s friend says she’s proud of her that they wouldn’t have the files if
they aren’t letting her write.
18. Sameer tells the boss to not worry and that he has the files. Minhaj enters
with the files he has. He tells Sameer secretly that he doesn’t have all the
files but he’s asked to never mention it again.

EPISODE 4. MAMBA, MUMBAI KA - ASLI REPTILE
1. Sailesh wakes up to the same nightmare. Manisha is worried about him. She
thinks that it’s happening because Rituraj and he are not talking. So, she
makes a plan with Apeksha to meet up in the evening for drinks to bring
them together. Sailesh has to come with her and Rituraj would come with
Apeksha.
2. A promo of the show releases and put online by Scoopster. It’s called
“Mamba, Mumbai ka - Asli Reptile”. The trailer has snippets of Reptile’s
music video along with Tabrez and Junaid. It says “coming soon”.
3. Sailesh, Rituraj, Manisha and Apeksha are chilling together. Sailesh and
Rituraj don’t speak to each other directly. Sailesh is shocked with the
promo. Apeksha claims that she knew from the beginning that Tabrez is
Reptile. Sailesh insists that Junaid is Reptile. They argue. Manisha thinks
what are the odds that Reptile is one of these two people who is closely
associated with them. Sailesh asks Apeksha to ask Tabrez to call him and
then it’ll be clear to everyone that he isn’t Reptile.
4. Sailesh’s VO. He’s scared that the world would get to know the truth
because of the show. Unless he can convince Tabrez to back off, Junaid will
have to participate in the show and win it. It’d be risky.
5. Sameer shows off how everyone was ready to spend so much money to get
Reptile on their show and now he would have them for free. He asks Minhaj
to contact both of them and invite them to the show to prove that they are
the real Reptile. Sameer also wants both of them to come to the office soon
so that a writer can sit with them and script the show properly so that it’s
entertaining for everyone. Minhaj is asked to sell the idea to both of them
in a way that this would help them become more famous.
6. At SCAS, Junaid tells Sailesh that he got a call from Scoopster and they’ve
asked him to come over to understand the show’s script at 5 pm tomorrow.
It’s all getting very real and he doesn’t want to do it. Sailesh tries to
convince him for his own good but Junaid is very nervous. When Sailesh
asks him about the real problem. Junaid tells him that the idea of a script
is making him nervous and since Tabrez might be the real Reptile, he would
be embarrassed to lose in front of everyone. Sailesh tells him that he can
refuse to go by the script when he’s at the meeting and since Scoopster
have already announced the show, they would have no other choice but to
agree. Sailesh also tells him that Tabrez isn’t Reptile since he knows who the
real Reptile is. Junaid says Tabrez is surely Reptile since he’s been
photographed wearing the Reptile jacket. Sailesh realizes that Junaid
wouldn’t fit into his size.
7. When Tabrez calls, Sailesh tells him that he knows that Tabrez isn’t Reptile.
He denies it. When Sailesh tells him that the stakes are high and he should
back off. Tabrez tells Sailesh that he and Imraan have no place to stay
unless he’s Reptile so even if he wasn’t, he would do anything to have a
place for them to stay. Sailesh understands and tells him that he can help

him to stay at the studio for a couple of nights but that’s the best he can
do but he needs to back out of the show and just admit it. Tabrez tells him
that it doesn’t happen often that he gets such an opportunity so he
wouldn’t back off and also, his friends are all hyped about it. Sailesh gets
angry and refuses him staying at the studio then. Tabrez says he’ll prove
that he’s Reptile and that Sailesh has always hated him.
8. At Scoopster, 5 pm, both Tabrez and Junaid arrive. Both of them are
dressed up, Tabrez is wearing goggles as usual. They are asked to wait
outside Sameer’s office. They’re asked if they would like something to drink.
They get offered Earl gray/Hot Cinnamon Spice. Tabrez asks for cutting
chai with a fake accent. Junaid follows suit. Tabrez picks a fight with Junaid
and claims that Junaid always “copies” him.
9. Sameer asks them to come in and sit. They don’t know whether to sit on the
floor or the fancy sofa. Sameer asks them courteously what they’d like to
eat. They’re both lost. They feel embarrassed about it. They get angry and
try to embarrass each other. Sameer finds it funny.
10. An inhouse script writer then joins them and asks them what they think how
they would like to start. Silence. Sameer is tense. He needs to make sure
that the show doesn’t become boring. Tabrez starts fighting again “abhi tak
toh bahut uchhal raha tha, ab bol na, chomu”. Sameer thinks they’re fun
like that. Junaid asks him “Aisa koi bhi insaan hai jo sochta hai ki tu Reptile
ho sakta hai?”. Tabrez claims that his friends are sure he’s the one. Junaid
calls him delusional. Tabrez video calls his friend who thinks that Tabrez is
Reptile but the way he answers is hilarious to Sameer.
11. The writer is confused and tells Sameer he has no idea what to write for
these jokers. The writer asks them how long it will take them to learn some
of the script that he’s going to write for them. They both get nervous and
refuse to follow a script because it makes them nervous. Junaid tells
Sameer that he wouldn’t do the show if there’s a script. Tabrez too. Sameer
tells them that all reality tv shows have a script and without it, it might
become boring. Junaid just doesn’t agree and he’s nervous. He says he
would like a friend to come along with him. Sameer says he’d consider it.
Sameer has already sold the idea to his boss and now he can’t afford the
show to get canceled. The boys leave.
12. The writer asks Sameer what he is supposed to write now. Sameer tells him
to not write anything. They were entertaining as it is. He says that they’ll
need a good host who’ll bring the entertainment out of them. He found
Tabrez’s friend to be hilarious too. So, he’ll let them get a friend each to
make the show funnier. The writer taunts Sameer that these Chapris didn’t
listen to him and now he might get screwed. Sameer shows his true colors
and asks him to wait and watch who gets screwed.
13. Sailesh tells Rituraj that there’s a lot of work at the studio and he needs to
come back and at least try to save the studio. Rituraj just wants to drink
and they argue.
14. Tabrez asks Apeksha to come along with him to the show when she tells him
that Sailesh is going with Junaid. Tabrez says that he feels out of place and

wants someone smart to be by his side. They call Rituraj, who is drunk and
doesn’t want to.
15. Both Chapris are getting prepared. They watch the music video and learn
to move/behave like Reptile. Since Junaid has Sailesh helping him, he’s
better in comparison and feels more confident. Sailesh taunts Apeksha
about losing this battle and to save face, Tabrez should back out already.
16. Apeksha tells all of it to Tabrez who gets nervous and tells her that he really
needs to win otherwise Imraan and he wouldn’t have a place to stay. They
think he needs a mentor. They know only Rituraj could help them but they
don’t know how to convince him. Apeksha has an idea.
17. Sailesh goes to a jewelry shop to inquire about his mothers’ jewelry.

EPISODE 5: MODEL SHOES
1. Apeksha calls Rituraj and asks him if he could take in Tabrez and keep him
at his house for a few days because his friend cannot keep him any longer.
Rituraj refuses. Apeksha can’t keep him because he’s a guy and her society
won’t allow it. She asks him if he’d like to go on the Mumba mumbai ka show
with him. He refuses again. She tells him that Sailesh would be going in with
Junaid. He considers but refuses still. He’s drinking.
2. Sailesh tells Rituraj that there’s a lot of pending work at the studio and he
needs to get sober and come back. Rituraj sounds hopeless because he
knows that they can’t pay the loan. Sailesh tells him that he has paid it for
now and Rituraj needs to come back and listen to him now. Rituraj’s ego
can’t digest this fact. He inquires where the money came from. Sailesh tells
him about his mother’s jewelry. Rituraj is livid. Sailesh tells him that it’s with
Zaveri uncle (a family friend) who will sell the jewelry back to him whenever
he wants.
3. Rituraj returns to the studio. He is rude to Junaid. This time Junaid doesn’t
take his shit and politely asks him to be nicer. Rituraj is furious and fires
Junaid. Sailesh stops Junaid from leaving but asks him to excuse them for
a minute. Sailesh tells Rituraj that he can’t fire Junaid since Junaid is
Reptile and they are getting a huge amount of work from all the rappers in
the city and they can finally make some good money. Rituraj says that it’s
impossible that Junaid is Reptile since surely Tabrez is. Sailesh and Rituraj
fight about this. Sailesh says regardless of the truth they are getting work
so they must make the most of it. Rituraj starts wrapping up and leaving.
Sailesh tells him that he cannot leave since he needs to work hard to pay
his share. Rituraj says that he’ll take care of it soon and leaves.
4. While traveling, Rituraj calls Apeksha and tells her that he would like to go
along with Tabrez to the show. Tells her that he went to the studio for work
but he can’t stand being dominated like that. When she tells him that it’s a
bad idea, he tells her that he has a plan and it’s been initiated and going to
get executed soon since he’s expecting a return phone call from the
director of the webseries. He gets the call. Rituraj asks him if he could
convince the producer to fast track the whole process of this contract. The
director tells him that the producer is really busy but since he’s desperate
to make it happen soon then he would have to go to Pune and meet the
producer in the evening by 8 at “The View”. That’s the best he could do after
convincing the producer to see him asap. Rituraj thinks it’d be impossible
to reach by 8. The producer has taken out 15 mins from 8 to 8:15 PM for him.
He’s supposed to call the director when he reaches.
5. Rituraj is hungover but he rushes to meet with the producer taking a
shared cab. He constantly misbehaves with the driver to drive fast. He
almost gets thrown out of the cab. There’s traffic on the highway.
6. After a massive struggle, somehow Rituraj reaches The View by 8:05. He calls
the director. The director tells him that since he didn’t call by 8, the

producer left. Rituraj is about to cry. The director tells him that since he
made such an effort, he’ll speak to the producer and get him on a call soon
and fix the deal asap.
7. Sailesh tells Junaid that he needs to handle some of Rituraj’s work and then
practice Raptile rap with him so that he’s perfect on the show. Sailesh
teaches him some of the things to improve his skill.
8. The MMK show’s dates are out and it’s going to be aired live. Sailesh tells
Junaid he’s happy with the preparation. In conversation, he asks him what
he has planned to wear. Junaid tells him whatever he has and Sailesh tells
him exactly how to style himself. Sailesh tells him that he needs to buy a
pair of good shoes. They’d cost around 2-3k. Junaid tells him that he can
get a good looking one for 1k. Sailesh wants to see the shoes. Junaid wants
to show him a fashion vlog where this Gujarati nerdy boy talks about style
and how it is essential to have a pair of white shoes and calls them “model
shoes”. Since Junaid can’t remember the vlogger’s name, he goes to the
famous YouTuber, JugaduMax’s channel. Checks that the name of the nerdy
fashion vlogger is Double U and then goes to Double U’s page and watches
it.
9. In the video, this geeky boy named “Double U style” talks about how these
shoes could transform any ordinary person into looking like a model. He
calls them model shoes. Sailesh laughs because Double U struggles to say
model shoes and ends up calling it as ‘moh-dull soosh’.
10. Dablu (18) gets a call from his friend that he’s become viral and he’s on
JugaduMax’s video! He gets excited and watches it with his other friends
who were chilling with him. He realizes that he’s getting massively trolled in
the video. His friends laugh out loud. Only one of his friends, Arjun, notices
the despair on his face and tries to keep things in check. Dablu also laughs
along to hide his pain.
11. Later, Dablu checks out the video he had put up and sees that he hasn’t
got a substantial amount of views but his video has gone viral on other
pages especially on JugaduMax’s page. He reads the comments and tears
run down his cheeks. His mother calls him for dinner.
12. While having dinner, the mother says she’s so proud of Dablu because
everyone’s been praising her lately. She narrates how her friend’s son called
her a model mother and the other children clapped for her merrily. Dablu
doesn’t have the heart to tell her the truth.
13. Dablu calls Arjun and tells him about the whole thing. Arjun tells him that
he’s getting famous. He shouldn’t feel bad because people are mocking him
but make money out of it from Google Ad sense. They notice that the video
hasn’t gotten many views on his profile but it’s been on other pages. Arjun
asks him to write to everyone else not to use his video. That way at least he
could make some money.
14. Next day, Dablu leaves for college. Everyone mocks him so much that he
runs away and takes a bus to nowhere.
15. He sits at a beach alone and cries. He notices a young beggar asking him
for food. He has some extra pocket money so he asks the boy if he’d like a

thaali. The young beggar boy calls all his friends. Dablu tells him that he
has enough money only to provide him with one plate. The beggar boy is
interested in telling his friends that the model shoes boy is here. He’s
genuinely a celebrity for the boys.
16. Dablu has a complex and misunderstands them and can’t stand it. He
doesn’t know where to hide. He runs away and goes straight into the water.
He gets out and googles “easiest way to suicide”.
17. After weighing all his options, he decides to jump off a cliff but he doesn’t
know how his family would react so he decides to write a note to them.
18. Unintentionally,Dablu ends up writing a funny, tangential and inarticulate
Gujarati suicide note with some small details like what to do with his
favorite shoes, LIC policy benefits because he could’ve slipped from the cliff
and it also includes some inconsequential childish confessions, etc.

EPISODE 6: THE BIG SHOW
1. Sailesh and Junaid; and Rituraj and Tabrez are waiting in the green room
separately. Assistants are running around. Sailesh gives Junaid a last
minute rap tip. The show begins on a stage with a young cocky host in front
of a live audience.
2. The host introduces the concept of the show standing on the stage which
looks like a boxing ring. Tells the audience that the show is live and there
would be a voting at the end of the show for the verdict. They have got
sponsorship and he presents them. Brands like KTM, Moj, Hair color and
styling, DSLR cameras.
3. Next he starts introducing both the teams. He begins with a funny video of
Junaid falling from a bike trying to wheelie. The audience laughs and he
presents Junaid to the audience. Junaid is on the stage standing
nervously. The host goes and embarrasses Junaid for being shy. Sailesh
notices this.
4. Next he shows a funny video of Tabrez dancing with his Chapri friends. The
audience laughs again. Tabrez enters with Rituraj. Rituraj signals him and
Tabrez waves at everyone and poses. The host goes and embarrasses him
too for being flamboyant.
5. Then the host presents where these boys come from. He shows Tabrez’s
neighbors talking about how has disappointed his father. Then he moves
on to show a video of Junaid’s friends mocking him and that he owes them
money.
6. Next, one by one, the boys rap Raptile for the audience.
7. Next, he has an improv round for them where he would take a random word
from the audience and make them rap on it. Both of them fail miserably at
this. The people he chooses from the audience and the words are fixed
which are nearly impossible to work with, especially for kids who don’t know
much about the rest of the world. Words like - sphinx, epiphany. Sailesh and
Rituraj are both shocked at the audacity of the host.
8. Next round, they have to dance with their partners. It’s embarrassing for all
of them.
9. Next and final round, the host asks if the audience wants them to box?
They want it.
10. Tabrez and Junaid stand in front of each other and they are asked to hit
each other. Finally, Sailesh stops them and tells them not to do it. Rituraj
also supports it. The host is disappointed and threatens to disqualify them
both but then starts the voting process.
11. The host does the whole drama of “it’s so close..” while checking some
numbers on the screen. Then finally he says “it’s unbelievable that both of
them have the same number of votes”. The show ends. The 4 of them are
furious.
12. They are out of the show and on the road looking for a cab. Tabrez is going
to stay with Rituraj for the night. The two teams aren’t talking to each other.

They aren’t getting a cab. They compete to get one. Sailesh tells Junaid to
distract them while he runs and finds one with great difficulty. It starts
raining and he asks all of them to hop in.
13. They have a common enemy in the Scoopster host and get friendly. They
decide to not go home and go for beer instead to a cheap bar. They call
Apeksha and Manisha there too. Sailesh says that he’s getting so many
requests on Insta but thankfully it’s private but Rituraj’s profile is public and
the phone has no battery.
14. At the cheap bar, they’re all pissed off with how the show went and they find
that some of the people are looking at them and laughing. Wasainika is
drinking by herself. She comes to them and looks at them and asks
“Reptile?”. They aren’t interested and blame her. She tells them the whole
truth. They get pissed at her and then she justifies by telling them that she
had very different content and got fired since she didn’t share anything
with them. In fact, the guy who shared all of it is about to join her. By then
Minhaj enters and starts apologizing to her. They understand what must
have happened. Rituraj says that Scoopster must be taught a lesson but
doesn’t know how. Sailesh asks Wasainika to send all the content to Reptile.
Wasaikia says “but his website isn’t working”. Sailesh tells her that his email
would be. He then tells Junaid that it’s his responsibility to make sure that
the world knows the truth about them. Rituraj copies Sailesh and tells the
same to Tabrez. Manisha gets sick of the whole Reptile conversation and
wants to leave.
15. They all head to Rituraj’s flat. They all chill together and have a good time.
Rituraj gets really drunk. Sailesh plays the radio since it’s neutral music
where a radio jockey is taking requests. They laugh and the request and
dance to the song. The next person builds it up and asks the RJ to play
Jagjit Singh. Sailesh looks at Rituraj who looks fucked up. He quickly gets
up to change the channel but others love JS’s ghazals and cheer for it.
Rituraj leaves the room and goes to the balcony.
16. Sailesh gets up worriedly and joins him. Manisha wants to join them but he
asks everyone else to stay in the room and enjoy.
17. Rituraj is smoking and looking out. Sailesh makes small talk and tells him
how they’re lucky to have a balcony in this city. Rituraj smiles at him and
then grabs him and starts crying. Sailesh hugs him tightly. Rituraj says
“you’re my best friend, I’m so sorry. You’ve always looked out for me.” Sailesh
reciprocates with the same warmth.

EPISODE 7: TREPTILE
1. Arjun is on Reptile’s website which is now working and has a new post that
says something like “Main hi hun Junaid, aur Tabrez bhi main hi. Bahut
mazaak uda liya mera par ab time hai asal baat ka. Bas yeh teen videos
dekho”. Arjun clicks on the first video which is about Tabrez.
2. The video has interview clips of his friends telling Wasainika that he really
takes care of his younger brother, Imraan since they don’t have a mother
and the father is a drunk. Along with the tailoring job that he’s learning
from his father, he cooks their meals and teaches Imraan best to his
capabilities. Credits: Wasainika //some funny incidents here must be there
in the videos shown in the MMK show but negatively manipulated there.
3. Arjun then clicks on the next video. It's Junaid’s Chapri friends. In their
interview, they think Junaid is very simple, gullible but hardworking. When
they’re chilling and biking, he instead works in a studio and is ambitious to
become a good audio engineer so that he can record his music and others’
music at a nominal cost. They often take advantage of his simple
mindedness and borrow money from him and he has a big heart. Sailesh
compliments his work ethics. Credits: Wasainika //some funny incidents
here must be there in the videos shown in the MMK show but negatively
manipulated there.
4. The next video is of a psychologist. The doctor introduces herself along
with her vast experience in the field. She then talks about the reason why
people mock other people openly. She thinks people who are insecure, love
to mock others because it helps them feel better about themselves. You
may dislike something but you’d probably just talk about it once to your
friend. To be so opinionated about something and mocking it publicly
whether online or in real life shows how the person needs to feel superior
because of their inferiority complex.
5. Arjun is blown away by this. He calls Dablu who is in a bus. Arjun tells him
that they need to meet asap. Dablu says he’s on his way. Arjun asks him to
watch these 3 videos on Reptile’s website.
6. At Arjun’s, Dablu talks about how he tells his parents that he’s going to
college but instead he’s been taking a bus to nowhere daily. Arjun asks him
what happens when they find out that he has been doing so. Dablu says he
might not be there to see that day by then. Arjun asks Dablu to write an
email of his whole story to Reptile. Dablu refuses, blames Arjun for
encouraging him to make videos and leaves. Arjun feels frustrated and then
starts typing something on his computer.
7. At SCAS, Sailesh and Junaid are working. They have become busier than
ever thanks to Junaid’s popularity. Sailesh calls Rituraj and asks where he
is. He’s still sleeping and hungover. Sailesh asks him to come over to help
asap. He says he’s too hungover to work. Sailesh reminds him of the stakes
and says he doesn’t care but Rituraj has to come asap anyhow. Reminds
him of his mother’s jewelry. Sailesh tells him that he’s not as good at

negotiating deals as Rituraj so he better come and help out. Rituraj’s ego
gets massaged and he decides to join.
8. Rituraj drinks a beer as a cure for his hangover and takes a cab. When he’s
in the cab, he gets a call from a Production house. It’s a director who wants
to use Rituraj’s track in his low budget film. He offers him 3-4L for it. It’s the
same track that the other director wants for the web series. Rituraj tells the
truth to the director and asks him to wait till he can get hold of the other
deal or else he can have it. The director tells him that he has till the end of
tomorrow to get back to him otherwise he already has his second option.
9. Rituraj calls the web series director. He tells him that he needs this deal to
happen asap because someone else is also interested. The director tells
him that he was just going to call him because the producer wanted to
meet him the day after tomorrow in the afternoon to seal the deal. Rituraj
insists that they have to sign the deal by tomorrow otherwise he’ll lose out
on the other deal too. The director tells him that he’ll see what can be done.
10. Rituraj joins SCAS. Sailesh is super busy and just tells him what needs to be
done like a boss. Rituraj reacts a little but Sailesh doesn't have the time or
capacity to argue with him right now. Rituraj gets to work while making a
face.
11. People think that Junaid is Reptile and recorded his track at SCAS with
Sailesh and Rituraj’s help. They want their track to sound as good hence
they all are at SCAS.
12. Rituraj asks Junaid if there are any smokes in the studio. Junaid says there
aren’t but he could go and get some for him. Sailesh looks at Rituraj. Rituraj
timidly says it’s okay, he’ll himself go and get some later.
13. MONTAGE of multiple meetings and work. Rituraj is in full action with
negotiations. They listen to demos of the rappers and decide which ones to
take up. They work hard. It’s time to shut down.
14. They shut the studio. Junaid leaves. Sailesh thanks Rituraj for coming and
tells him that they signed more deals today than any other day. They
should be rich soon and would be able to get his mom’s jewelry back then.
He also thanks Rituraj for behaving well with Junaid. Rituraj seems
confused and says that he can’t believe that Junaid could mix the track so
well. Rituraj asks Sailesh to come over to his place for a drink. Sailesh
doesn’t want to but then Rituraj wants to celebrate this good day with him.
Sailesh agrees for a beer.
15. At home, Rituraj asks Sailesh, that wouldn’t Junaid ask for a share from the
money they’re making since he’s Reptile and the work is coming to them
because of him. Sailesh tells him that Junaid is sweet and he spoke to him
about it. Junaid’s just grateful that he got to learn from both of them so
he’d rather let the money be used for the loan. He thinks there’s more to
learn from them so he wants to continue as it is for now. Rituraj is not
convinced. Rituraj says he’s still not sure if Junaid is Reptile so Sailesh
should not refer to Junaid as Reptile.
16. After a lot of drinks, Manisha calls Sailesh asking him about his
whereabouts. Sailesh tells Rituraj that he’s so grateful to Reptile because

now they’ll be able to pay off the debt and then Manisha’s father would
allow her to get married to him. Rituraj is not interested in marriage talk so
he talks shit like “Reptile ko pandit bana lena shaadi pe”. Sailesh asks him
why he is pissed with Reptile?! He says he’s not pissed at all, in fact he’s
grateful to Reptile because all thanks to him they’re friends again.
17. Sailesh tells him that regardless of Reptile, they’d be best friends. He talks
about their childhood and laughs how traumatic it was for both of them
hinting at some of it. Sailesh then tells him that after ages, recently he had
that horrible dream and then called him but he didn’t pick up. Rituraj
apologizes. He tells him that he was angry. Sailesh kisses him on his cheek.
They smile. Rituraj is so drunk that he wants to pee off the balcony but
Sailesh stops him. Sailesh takes him and puts him in bed. Rituraj asks him
to stay back because he doesn't want to be alone. When Sailesh refuses
telling him that Manisha would be waiting for him and insists on going, he
abuses him and Manisha and asks him to get out rudely.

EPISODE 8: MAIN HI HUN
1. It’s early in the morning and Manisha wakes Sailesh up who’s groggy. She
tells him that he needs to go immediately and ask Rituraj to take off the
story from Instagram that he has put. Sailesh doesn’t know what’s
happening. Manisha says he needs to leave. No time to even brush his
teeth.
2. In the cab, Sailesh watches the story. Rituraj is peeing from the balcony and
abusing. He says he doesn’t have any real friends and fuck Sailesh and
fuck Manisha. She’s a bitch. He talks shit about marriage and then
Manisha’s father. Calls BJP as Blow Job Party.
3. Sailesh reaches Rituraj’s flat and rings the bell a few times but no response.
He knows where the spare key is. He enters and wakes him up and asks him
for his phone’s passcode. Rituraj can barely answer. He asks what’s
happening. Sailesh shows him the video on his phone.
4. Rituraj is finally wide awake. He goes to the profile and reads threats from
political figures on the video. He panics and asks Sailesh what to do.
Sailesh asks him to delete it immediately. He does so but he’s still panicking
because he knows he’s in big trouble. He rushes to the bathroom to throw
up.
5. Rituraj asks Sailesh what’s going to happen to him now? Jail? Sailesh tells
him that he read some of the comments. They want to set an example out
of him. So, probably jail or/and a good beating. Rituraj gets scared. Sailesh
says that he knows of one way to save him but for that Rituraj will have to
do something. Rituraj is ready to do anything to get out of this situation.
Sailesh tells him that he can never drink again. Rituraj promises. Sailesh
tells him that he has spoken to Manisha and she has asked her father to
make sure that he doesn’t get in any trouble. Also, Manisha was so pissed
that she had asked Sailesh to not tell Rituraj about the whole father deal so
that Rituraj suffers but since Sailesh tells him everything, he has told him
the truth. But now Rituraj is supposed to pretend that he doesn’t know
about Manisha’s father saving him. Rituraj thanks Sailesh and tells him that
he’s lucky to have a friend in him.
6. Sailesh asks him to get fresh fast and they could go to the studio together.
Rituraj says he’s too hungover and after what he went through today, he
just can’t do anything. Sailesh gets frustrated with Rituraj. He tells him that
till the time he hasn’t paid his share of the studio, he has absolutely no say
in these matters. He better get fresh quickly. Rituraj obliges unwillingly.
7. While they’re working hard, Sailesh excuses himself saying that he needs to
call Manisha and check if everything is in order with her father and goes to
the other room and secretly checks his Reptile email. There’s an email from
Arjun. He starts typing.
8. Rituraj is worried about the whole issue so he goes to check out how things
are. He notices that Sailesh is not on the phone and watches him type
something from afar. He’s confused but returns and continues to work.

9. Sailesh returns. Rituraj asks him if it’s all good. Sailesh is positive but vague.
Rituraj tells him to give it to him straight and not hide anything because
he’s nervous. Sailesh rhetorically asks him if he has ever hidden anything
from Rituraj. They have been best friends for so long that he wouldn’t hide
anything ever.
10. Sailesh excuses himself again. Rituraj talks about the workload and that he
shouldn’t be taking so many breaks. Sailesh arrogantly tells Rituraj firstly
that he has no right to say anything and secondly, he’s taking these breaks
for Rituraj’s good because he needs to call and check with Manisha about
him.
11. Rituraj secretly follows Sailesh and notices that he doesn’t talk to Manisha
but instead he’s on the Reptile website. Rituraj feels confused.
12. After Sailesh returns, Rituraj feels sick and is about to throw up. He excuses
himself and then sneaks into the room where Sailesh was using the
computer. He goes and checks the computer and finds the history is
deleted. He then searches for some files and stumbles upon NOTES. He
takes out his phone and clicks a picture of it. It’s what Sailesh had compiled
to write a hit cringe song as Reptile. Rituraj suspects that Sailesh is Reptile.
13. He gets back and asks Junaid how he got the idea of writing “Raptile”.
Junaid gets nervous and starts talking about art and philosophy and how
music is in his blood. Sailesh saves the conversation by saying “arre Junaid,
woh bata na jo tu ne mujhe bataya tha.” Sailesh excitedly tells Rituraj that
Junaid had basically studied these artists and made notes. He describes
exactly what he himself had done to write the song. Junaid looks confused.
Rituraj gets it now since he knows Sailesh too well. He genuinely feels sick
and throws up. He leaves the studio.
14. He calls the web series director and tells him he needs to finalize the deal
now otherwise he wants to sell the song to someone else. The director tells
him that the producer wants to change the language to Telugu. Rituraj is
frustrated and says he doesn’t care till the time the deal can happen today
itself. The director says he has the papers prepared and to meet him at the
producer’s office to sign by 6pm. He would text him the address.
15. Rituraj is on his way. He calls Apeksha and tells her that again the new
producer wants to change the language of the song. Apeksha tells him to
not be stubborn and sign the deal and prioritize paying off his debt first.
He says it’s against his principles but he’d listen to Apeksha since she’s told
this to him with such confidence.
16. Rituraj enters the office building. He’s escorted by two huge bouncers to
the producer’s office. The hallway has posters of all the films that the
producer has produced. The final poster is of “O Sanam Bewafa”. Before he
can process it, he faces the producer.
17. The producer tells him how he has been waiting for this moment. Rituraj is
confused. The producer asks him not to worry and tells him that he’s glad
that Rituraj finally agreed to let them change the language of the lyrics.
Now, Rituraj gets uncomfortable. The producer asks him to chill. Asks him if
he’d like to drink something. Rituraj wants to leave, claiming to be in a hurry.

The producer tells him that he’s all about business so let bygones be
bygones. The producer gives him the contract to sign. The contract is in
Telugu which Rituraj obviously cannot read. Rituraj is about to abuse the
producer in frustration but then the bouncers. Rituraj coolly tells him that
he has another option. The producer laughs and asks him about the
deadline for tonight for the low budget film? Rituraj just runs away from
there in tears.
18. On his way back he’s drinking alcohol. Apeksha calls him excitedly and tells
him that she’s waiting at his place to congratulate him. He’s bitter and calls
her a bitch and blames her for convincing him to try this out and it turned
out to be shit. She doesn’t appreciate this. She tells him to fuck off and
never speak to her again.
19. He reaches home to see balloons tied on his bedroom wardrobe that reads
“congrats”. This breaks Rituraj. It starts pouring outside. He drinks more. He
visits the Reptile website. The last post is for someone named “Dablu”. He
reads that Reptile thinks that Dablu needs everyone’s support and he’s a
great kid and people should visit his youtube channel. People who don’t like
his content should just not watch his content. Simple. He reads comments
that everyone’s praising Reptile and thinks that he’s a revolutionary. Rituraj
smirks.
20. Rituraj calls Sailesh and tells him to come over because he needs to tell him
something important and it can’t be discussed over the phone. Sailesh
refuses since it’s raining outside. Rituraj says that he knows that Junaid is
not Reptile. Sailesh is worried and agrees to meet him.
21. Rituraj goes round and round about Reptile and their friendship to
embarrass Sailesh. Sailesh gets mindfucked. He asks Rituraj how he knows
that Junaid isn’t Reptile. Rituraj says he knows because.. “Main hi hun
Reptile”.

NEXT SEASON:
Sailesh’s childhood best friend, Rituraj, gets depressed and becomes an

alcoholic and is subjected to mockery by everyone. Sailesh as Reptile
spreads awareness on how addiction can possibly be a disease triggered
by childhood trauma rather than it being always oversimplified as a
choice. The odd friendship dynamics between the urban young adults and
the Chapris is a unique heartwarming story in itself, especially when
Manisha and Apeksha learn to enjoy some of the unusual activities that
are suggested by Tabrez and Juanid. Reptile would release more songs.
Rituraj and Apeksha would plan revenge against the ‘O Sanam Bewafa’
producer when Apeksha gets a project to work with him.
AUDIENCE:
The show has main characters from Chapris to reasonably smart young
adults, hence it will attract audiences from a wide range of economic
backgrounds and also viewers from small towns apart from cities. Also, the
show has a lot to do with videos that go “viral”. Reptile’s gimmicky cringe
song ‘Raptile’ could actually go viral and create a buzz and reach more
people and make them curious about the show. There aren’t many popular
shows in the comedy-drama/dramedy genre being produced in the
country (with the exception of TVF shows like Panchayat). In most shows,
every other scene has a gun and/or abusive language. This show is a
breath of fresh air and still absolutely relatable, the perfect combination.
