Hospital beds

Unoccupied Bed - is a bed that is empty at the
same time it is made up and is the
easiest bed to make.

prepared to receive and to meet the
needs of a patient recovering from
anesthesia after surgery or
diagnostic procedure.

❖Soiled linen is placed directly in a portable
linen hamper or tucked into a pillowcase at
the end of the bed before it is gathered up
for disposal in the linen hamper.

because shaking can disseminate secretions
and excretions and the microorganism they
contain.

❖When stripping and making bed, conserve
time and energy by stripping and making
up one side as completely as possible
before working on the other side.

❖To avoid unnecessary trips to the linen


supply area, gather all needed linen before
starting to strip a bed.
