6.6. Checking the operating mode Test

Operating mode Test is only used for travel direction forward. In travel direction
reverse the system will remain in position Horizontal .

Set the mode selector switch S104 to operating mode Test and the stage selector
switch S107 for manual and test adjustment to range 5.
Start the engine and maintain idle speed. Switch the vibration on in forward travel.
After approx. 1.5sec the Variocontrol system will start to leave the horizontal position.

System o.k. System not o. k. Remedy


After activating the vibration The amplitude display remains - Check wiring:
the display must change to in Horizontal . Wiring harness control panel
the bottom area. Locking valve Y119
When switching the vibration The amplitude display does - Check the wiring:
off the display returns to not respond. Valves V1 to V4
Horizontal - Check hydraulic system

6.7. Checking the operating mode AUTOMATIC

Automatic operation can only be tested with vibrating drum, because the system needs
the signals from the displacement transducers BV and BH for control purposes.
For this purpose reconnect the plug to the vibration pump, if it has been unplugged.

Set the mode selector switch S104 to operating mode Automatic and the rotary
switch for amplitude adjustment S107 to range 4. Start the engine, accelerate to full
speed and actuate the travel lever.

System o.K. System not o. k. Remedy


Driving forward The amplitude display - Check wiring:
after activating the responds for a short moment Acceleration transducer
vibration the amplitude display and returns to Horizontal Not working correctly
will change to the bottom
area.
Driving reverse The amplitude display - Check wiring:
after activating the responds for a short moment Acceleration transducer
vibration the amplitude display and returns to Horizontal Not working correctly
will change to the top area.
When switching the vibration The amplitude display does - Check wiring:
off the amplitude display must not respond. Valves V1 to V4
return to Horizontal - Check hydraulic system
