This academic research presents an examination on how mental health affects our education, focusing on finding the reasons or explanation on
how mental health is affecting our education, the energy level of concentration, the mental ability, dependability, optimism and lastly, what is the
reason behind lower results. Additionally, we'll also surveyed how physical health altered students, and how our society handles mental health
issues. Mental and physical health are both equally important for our overall health, in fact, depression increases the chances for many physical
health problems, like long-lasting conditions like diabetes, heart disease and stroke. And just as mental problems disturb our physical status,
chronic conditions can also increase the risk for mental illness.

Mental health problems start as an individual matter, then grow to be interpersonal, institutional, then it becomes related to our
Introduction community, and finally, our society. The most common mental health problems that students have identified to affect their
academic development are stress (30%), anxiety (22%), sleep difficulties (20%) and depression (14%). Suicidal thought have
harmful effects on larger campus or school community, where roommated, faculty and staff may also experience profound grief
over students’ suicidal behavior. Globally, mental and substance use disorders are very common: around 1-in-7 people (15%) have
one or more mental or substance use disorders. The most common disorders are anxiety disorders (3.94%), depression (3.59%),
bipolar disorder (0.51%), schizophrenia (0.3%) and eating disorders (0.18%) We need to take into consideration that in the first year
of the COVID-10 pandemic, the percentage of global prevalence for anxiety and depression increased by 25%, according to a
scientific brief released by the World Health Organization. The causes for the massive increase are bereavement, isolation, loss
of income and fear. All of these combined have triggered people amongst our society, making a noticeable difference in how we
used to handle mental health diseases. Mental health problems have always been in the picture, the difference is that now, we
are starting to give it visibility and bringing awareness to people on how important it is, and even though is still a work in process,
it seems like now, thanks to how easy is to get information, we can educate ourselves on this topic.
