Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. May I have your attention please? We are about to
begin our Lunch Reception so please find your seats and make yourselves comfortable.

A blissful noon to everyone and welcome to Arciaga-Paganao Lunch Reception. We are

done with the solemn part of the celebration which is the blessing of the union of this
newlywed couple at Iglesia Ni Cristo and also we would like to thank those people who were
with us earlier and for those who just come in, Welcome! And so here we are at Cabicungan
Resort for our newlywed’s celebration for the beginning of their new life together. So sit
down, relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

Introduction and Acknowledgements

Parents of the Newlyweds

Before anything else, we would like to acknowledge the key persons who took a great part of
this jubilant affair. For without their support, this event would not be made possible. Ladies
and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure to introduce to you the parents of the Groom,
Mr. Marcelo Arciaga and Mrs. Marjorie Arciaga. A big round of applause please.

And of course, we are truly happy to have here with us the parents of the Bride, let us give a
big hand to Mr. Dewey S. Paganao and Mrs. Merlyn M. Paganao. Madam, sir. Thank you so
much for your support.

A wedding brings two people and their families together. It refreshes the family ties and
friendship that have gone stale and almost forgotten against the toll of time and distance. For
this allows me to give a very special welcome to all who have travelled many miles to be

Entrance of the Bride and Groom

And now…. The moment we’ve been waiting for…I’ll have to ask everybody to stand up on
your feet and direct your eyes to the_________. This day calls for a grand celebration and it
is my distinct pleasure to introduce to you for the very first time Mark Lester and Grethel as
husband and wife. So without further ado, let us give our warmest welcome to Mr. and Mrs.
Arciaga!

life together with your future children.

Extending of Thanks

We thank you all for gracing this joyful occasion especially to those who took a leave of
absence from work and to those who travelled from far places just to be with us today. In
behalf of Mark Lester and Grethel, and their parents, I would like to express their heartfelt
gratitude for your presence at this memorable occasion. It is indeed a pleasure to have you all
this day.

This time call the day for the new couple to hear a little excitement coming from the crowd,
and it is you to say it. Pag sinabi kong happy, you all should say Marriage. And when I say

Lester and Grethel… the crowd has spoken. May your marriage be as happy and beautiful as

We all know that much has already happened and we still have the entire day ahead of us. So
I guess everybody is hungry. Before we take part the prepared foods, May I call on

For those who wish to have a picture taking to the couple you may have it on their table.

NOTE: The couple will eat in just a few time then go to different tables to have a picture
taking, hand blessing/shake hand.
You should also remind the guests that after the meal they should not yet exit because
there are still more segments to be waited for.

Traditional Cake Slicing

Now, may I request Lester and Grethel to prepare for the cake slicing ceremony. We have
here a beautiful wedding cake.
The cake, which has been a part of the wedding celebrations since the roman times, is a
symbol of good luck and fertility. The sharing of this food symbolizes the couple’s
willingness to fulfill each other’s needs, creating a bond so simple yet so strong.

Toasting a glass of Wine for the Couple

A celebration is never complete without a toast and a bottle of good wine. Let us now bring
out the good wine and pour them into their glasses. Ladies and gentlemen, it takes a strong
and intelligent man to realize his dreams and achieve his goals in life and love. A man who is
not afraid to live life to its fullest and embrace what is truly important. Today we are
gathered to witness the formation of a union that will surely last forever.

Bridal Waltz-First Dance

For this day marks the beginning of their new life together. From this day forward, they shall
be one, and on this joyful day beginning what could be more fitting than to celebrate is with
their first dance. The first dance is a symbolic of the consummation of their wedding vows
and cooperative engagement and joint endeavour. Ladies and gentlemen, the new couple in
their first dance.
If you have now your favours or gifts to our couple, you can now give or ascribe through the
traditional generous way.

Bouquet Throwing

Now let us all have some fun and it’s time for the bouquet throwing. At this point we would
like to request all the single ladies to please come forward for the bouquet throw. We would
also like to request the bride to come forward and take her place centre stage.

(INSTRUCTIONS: Emcee motions and waits for all the single ladies to come forward)

Pero syempre our bouquet throw is not the usual way, may twist tayo, ipipiring ni Lester si
Grethel through a handkerchief, then Grethel will throw the bouquet at kung sino man ang
makakakuha, wag iimik kasi huhulaan ng bride kung sino siya sa pamamagitan ng pagkapa
sa buong katawan nito, pag hindi niya nahulaan, we’ll do it again.

Congratulations Miss________. Have a seat beside the bride and we shall find your match in
the garter toss!

Retrieval of the Garter

Before we go on with the garter toss, the groom is to retrieve the garter from his bride.

Now, it’s your turn now gentlemen. Again we will not do the usual way may twist na naman
ito. Ang tawag naten ditto ay “ bottle popping”. Kayo ang magbubukas mismo sa coke tapos
iinomin niyo ito. kung sino man sa inyo ang mahuli(naudi) siya ang magiging match ni
__________. At the count of 123 go!

There you have it ladies and gentlemen, the new lovely pair.

Now we would like to proceed with some messages from friends and family of the couple
and of course from the principal sponsors of both sides as well. These are the people who
literally saw the romance between Lester and Grethel blossom into a serious relationship.

It is said that our parents are our first teachers having raised us patiently from childhood to
adulthood. They have been our source of comfort, support and inspiration. Lester and
Grethel are truly blessed with such wonderful parents and I’m quite sure when it comes to
knowing what marriage is all about. They always have a word or two to share to their
children. We would like to call on the Father of the Groom, Mr Marcelo Arciaga to say a few
words of wisdom and Best Wishes to our newlyweds.

So this day and this celebration have almost come to an end but for our newlyweds, it is just

it to them. To personally convey their heartfelt gratitude, let us now lend our ears to the
couple.
