KPTCL Junior Engineer Exam Pattern 2022


Candidates must be familiar with the KPTCL Junior Engineer Exam Pattern to get detailed
information of the exam format, the number of sections, marking weightage, etc. The exam
pattern for the same is shared below:
• The written exam shall consist of objective multiple-choice questions and shall be
conducted in Offline OMR Mode.
• There shall be 100 questions for 100 marks in the written exam.
• The question paper will be available in Kannada and English versions.
• Each question contains 1 mark.
• There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.

Note: The candidate must have studied Kannada in SSLC/PUC or higher qualification. If not,
then the candidates will have to appear for the Kannada Language Test that shall be conducted
before the written exam. The test is of a descriptive nature with a maximum of 150 marks and
candidates must score at least 50 marks to qualify it. Candidates who have not scored at least
50 marks are not eligible for selection. The marks obtained in the Kannada Language Test will
not be considered for the selection.
