C. Silica Ramming Mass
Silica ramming mass, also known as acidic ramming mass, plays a crucial role in induction furnaces
during melting of steel. This substance is used to line induction furnaces and its quality decides smooth
Ramming mass has a very important quality of withstanding of easily absorbing thermal shocks. It also
does not develop cracks because of frequent power cuts during the operation of the induction furnace.
Shoulder and hunger bricks are widely used in steel rolling mills across the country as they give high and
consistent performance time after time.

E. Foundries
A foundry is a factory that produces metal castings. Metals are cast into shapes by melting them into a
liquid, pouring the metal in a mould, and removing the mould material or casting after the metal has
solidified as it cools.
a) Cupola Bricks
Cupola bricks are special type of bricks that have industrial use. These bricks are specially designed
for use in different types of furnaces in foundries. These bricks find many uses in various industries
such as ceramic, paper, sugar, steel, chemical, and fertilizer. These bricks are not straight but curved
and easily line up kilns and furnaces.

c) Steel Shots
Steel shots are small granules of steel that are spherical in shape and obtained by a process known
as atomization. These shots or small balls of steel are used as abrasives in many industries. They
help in cleaning of surfaces of metals and compounds by taking off loose materials. They also help
Industries where these steel shots are mainly used are automobile, metallurgy, petrochemical, and
construction. This procedure is called steel shot blasting and it improves the surface of the metal
by cleaning and clearing it.
d) Honeycomb Filter
Filtration of molten metal in foundries and metallurgical industries is heavily dependent upon the
filters that are used for this purpose. One filter that is used very commonly is referred to as
honeycomb filter. The honeycomb foundries design allows these filters to possess very high
strength and great resistance to thermal shock.
Honeycomb design allows the molten metal to easily pass through but keeps the debris, impurities,
and other slag behind. It also improves the flow of molten metal. Air is prevented from getting
inside the molten metal because of a stable flow. Thus there is no oxidation of the molten metal
and it does not splash out. As impurities are stopped from flowing, elimination of hard point in
sating is achieved.

F. Cement/Mortar/Binder
Range:
a) High Alumina Binders (Calundum)
c) Mortar
Mortar is a very important product used in industries where refractory bricks are used. Firebricks
are placed to line furnaces in industries where high temperatures are encountered. Ordinary
Portland cement cannot be used in such places as it shrinks at such high temperatures. This is why
specially made refractory mortar is used to line furnaces with firebricks.
These mortars are not only easier to use but also provide better results in keeping the lining of
furnaces intact for a very long time period. These mortars have a very high thermal resistance in
addition to resistance to acids. They are also much superior in terms of compressive strength.

G. Refractory Boiler Bed Material
Fluidized bed Combustion or FBC boiler bed material is used to build structures that are subjected to high
temperature such as space shuttles, fireplace brick linings etc. We offer a FBC bed material for boiler,
Due to its thermal resistance, chemical resistance, ability to withstand molten metal and ability to bear
physical impact, the boiler refractory material is used in an array of applications.

B. Nozzles and Well Blocks
Nozzles and well blocks are continuous casting refractories that play an important role in controlling the
flow of molten steel during steel making process. High quality nozzles and well blocks that give high
performance consistently in applications involving high temperatures. This alumina carbon fired and
C. Tundish Nozzles
Tundish nozzles are an integral part of continuous steel casting process. These products are instrumental
in controlling the flow of molten steel from Tundish to continuous casting.
D. 90 K Mortar
Different types of mortars are used as binders for joining of clays and firebricks in kilns and furnaces.
These mortars contain high alumina content and they can withstand high temperature settings. They
do not crack or come off even in applications with temperatures as high as 1700 degrees Celsius.
It is a very high purity mortar that contains alumina as high as 90%. K 90 with green chrome oxide that
undergoes calcinations and then made to react with alumina powder. This mortar is very versatile and
it can be used will different kinds of firebricks in many industries.
Features of 90 K mortar:
Great resistance to thermal shocks
Can withstand wide range of temperatures
High purity
Can be used in reducing environments
www.impetix.com
E. 70 K Mortar
70 K mortar is a special mortar containing high percentage of alumina. This mortar can withstand very
high temperatures of up to 1600 degree Celsius. This product is formulated to be applied for lining of
high alumina bricks.
F. Casting Powder
Casting powder is an essential component during continuous casting of steel. It allows for creation of
a lubricating film over mould surface that prevents solidifying metal to adhere to the mould. This
means that molten metal can solidify quickly and easily without any impurities sticking to it. Casting
powder has the property of quick release of heat from the molten metal. Because of the use of
additives, it gives a great performance at high temperatures.
It contains components that are low melting. It instantly converts in to metallic slag that finds space
between the billet shell and the mould. You need to add this slag continuously in small quantities
during the duration of casting. This product keeps on melting slowly as it forms layers. This makes sure
that the top layer of molten metal has enough protection at all times.

H. Ladle Lining Bricks
The thermonuclear behaviour of ladle lining is a
complicated and a lot depends upon its design. If ladle
lining is made using refractory bricks of low quality, it
This phenomenon, also called skulling, is prevented with the use of nozzle filling compound. These
products make sure that the molten steel flows without any jamming through the slide gates of the ladle.
Features of Nozzle Filling Compound
Easy opening of slide gates
Minimizes chances of skulling
It works as de sulphuring agent
Allows ladle to be utilized fully during casting

L. Tundish Board
Tundish boards are essential components in continuous casting tundishes. They are used to make the
inner lining. These boards serve the purpose of fresh board lining every time it gets changed. This
