Chapter 11: His Story [High School ] ii

Sunny POV

I walked and followed the address that Kyle gave to me until I arrived at a huge mansion with
the gate open. I peek inside and there's a security guard sitting at his chair. He noticed my
presence and quickly welcomed me. "Thanks," I muttered before stepping to the mansion. I ring
the doorbell twice before it open. A beautiful woman greeted me. "Hi, you must be Miss Sunny
Smith." She said with a genuine smile and I nodded, "I'm Alene by the way. Come in." She
gestured me to the backyard door.

 "Kyle is outside." She said before disappearing into the kitchen. "Thanks." I said and she
replied with a sheepishly 'welcome!' I open the door swiftly. The backyard was so beautiful!
There's a pool, garden, and some animal house that I noticed was handmade. "Easy there!" I
heard from a voice from the gap of the tree and a horse noise. I walked closer and peeked. Kyle
was riding a white horse while stroking the horse head. "Yeah... Sorry... Is that hurt? Is that hurt
Storm?" He asked while petting Storm's nose and Storm whined. I can't help but he seems like
NEWT SCAMANDER in FANTASTIC BEAST. He then gets down and brings Storm to a water
bucket.

"Here." He bends down and tries to get Storm to drink the water. Storm shrieked as he saw me
and run towards me. Okay, it's time to panic!!!!! I quickly ran away from Strom while Kyle froze
for a moment. I think he shocked because I've seen what he do. "Kyle help!" I said as Strom
gets closer. He snapped from whatever thing that plays in his head and tries to catch Storm.
"Ah!" I slipped into the pool with a squeal. Storm stopped and bend down his head, ignoring
what happened to me. Oh shit why I can't stand inside this pool?! I can't fucking swim!!!!! Help!
This water passed my nose as I try to keep on the surface.

I gasped as a hand snaked around my waist and pull me out from the water. "Breathe, Sunny.
Breathe..." Kyle whispered, his voice was hoarse and mixing with pants. He lay me down slowly
and let me recover for a moment. After a while, he shook his head, standing up and walk
towards Storm, who stares at him with an innocent glare. "I... I swear if you do that again..." He
takes a deep breath before continue. "I'll let you alone for two days." Storm whined and
snuggled to Kyle side. How lovely. He kissed Storm before asking me permission to leave for a
while as he wants to send Storm to his barn.

He then comes back with a towel wrapped around his bare torso. I bet he pulls off his when I
wasn't around. "Here." He handing me another towel. "Thanks," I mumbled and wrapped the
towel around my shivering form and he nod. "I'm so sorry about Storm. He always like that." He
said while reaching out a hand for me and I gladly take. He makes me shocked for a while as he
braided our fingers together. Making it more intimate and I blushed. Furiously, blushed. He leads
me inside and expectantly, we meet with the woman earlier. Alene. "Kyle, what did you do to
her?" She asked while examined my shivering body. Before Kyle could open his mouth, I quickly
cut him off. "It wasn't his fault. Storm tries to catch me and I fell into the pool." I said shyly and
Alene face smoothed.

"Bring her upstairs, I'll find a new shirt," Alene said and Kyle nod, taking my hand. This time, he
didn't braid our hand together like before and I pouted quietly. He brings me to the second floor,
the guest room. "Here. There's a bathroom. Take a bath. I'm sure Sis Alene will come in any
minutes. I'll tell her." Kyle said while pointed at the bathroom door. "Sure. And you?" He frowned
and chuckled lightly. "I'll be in my room. The door was decorated with Ocean Blue. I'm sure you
know." Kyle said before closing the door.

Kyle POV

Did she saw I'm petting with Storm? She really makes my cheeks flushed red as I closed the
door. I don't want this date trial to be awkward or messed up... Sighing, I walked into my room
and jumped when I saw Myles, laying on my bed. "How was the date, man?" He asked while
throwing and apple to the air and catch it back. "You shouldn't do that," I said and he looks at
me. "Holy Shit, Kyle! Don't do it on the first date!" He gasped when he saw my shirtless torso
and I know what he meant.

"Stop your dirty mind, Myles." I huffed and he giggled. "Go and change your shirt." He said. I
take my step towards the bathroom and get a shower. After taking a shower, I open the
bathroom door to take my shirt. "Ah!" And there's a woman squeak at my bed and I flinched. It's
Sunny. She saw me! Not stark naked but I feel naked! She saw me wearing a towel and only
that! I scrambled back to the bathroom as my body starts shaking. "Myles..." I cursed him under
my breath. "Why you didn't tell me she is here?!" I yelled. Just earn his chuckle. "Sorry... Here's
your shirt. And the trousers." He knocks the bathroom door and I just take a hand out to fetch
them.

While pulling my shirt on, I'm thinking why Sunny doesn't act weird to my twin brother? Myles is
my identical twin. Normally, people will misunderstand. After pull on my shirt, I open the door
and revealed Myles and Sunny sitting on my bed, talking to each other like a best friend. "You...
You know my brother..." I said timidly, didn't dare to look her in the eyes. "Yeah, he's my old
friend." She said and I look up immediately. "She's my friend at Gordonstoun," Myles explained
clearly. "Why you didn't tell me?" I gulped. "You didn't ask." I nod and my heart felt like tugged
alive from my chest. I don't know why... It feels so hurt... Why... Why...

I realize with a shock that my eyes teary. Lucky that my face still wet, the tear was miserable.
"Yeah... I should go and check Storm." I said, try to persuade myself. Before Sunny could
protest anything, I open the door room, go downstairs and disappeared to the garden. I pull my
knees to my chest and buried my face inside them. Sobbing, a little. Then I felt something soft
snuggled into my arms. Storm. I wiped my tears and hold him. "Hey..." I said softly and Storm
whined loudly. "Come." I climbed over him and sat on the horse paddle.

Why I'm crying? I didn't have any feelings towards her... Now I felt like a dumb. Like werewolf
when they rejected their mate. Like an Alpha losing his Luna... Storm stopped walking suddenly
as he arrived at my favourite place. I lay in the bunch of flower on the ground. The flowers were
blue and that calmed my sorrow heart a bit. I take my arms and covered my eyes. Crying
silently. "Hey, Kyle!" I heard Sunny voice approaching and Storm growled, try to shoo her away.
I wiped my tears stain and stand up, stroking Storm thin fur. "What do you want?" I asked coldly
and she flinched. "Are you okay, Kyle?" She asks concerned. If you want me to be honest,
nope. The honest answer is I'm jealous of her and Myles. Myles always got the girl... Duh... I
sound like Remus Lupin when Tonks said about Sirius... "Do you... Do
youjustbefriendwithmebecauseofMyles?" I said quickly and she chuckled. "What are you talking
about?" "Be honest... Are you just be friends with me because of my face same as Myles and
you want to use me?" I know... I know... I can't form better sentences when in upset.

"No! Of course not! I like you naturally Kyle. Myles just my friend in Gordonstoun. He told me
that he an identical twin in Westminster." She said with genuine persuading smile. I blushed.
Why I'm too jealous like a girl!? I felt like wanna smack my head. Damn it, Kyle. You make it
obvious that you like her!
I can't look at her eyes now... I'll burst! "Kyle... You face reddened." Shit! She notices!!!!! "Ah,
there's nothing. Probably the flower makes my face like that. Come, let me introduce you to my
friends." (His animal...) I get up and handed her a hand and she braided our fingers together as
I do with her earlier. She seems doesn't mind...

Hehe... Now we gonna skip a year! 17 years old! Kyle didn't ask Sunny to go with a date with
her yet. Sunny often to come to his house and hang out with his family.
[Time skip at a couple of day before School Prom...]

"Sorry... I'm not interested." I said to a girl that asked me to be her partner. I'm lack of time to
find a partner right now! Damn it, Mr Petrakis! Every student should have a partner? Mandatory!

Sunny POV

He almost said that! I will wait for him to say it. I don't have any partner yet. There are some
asked me... But I didn't answer. I mean... We have a not too proper date since he asked me to
came to his house. Why he still shy to explain his feelings? I've dinner, supper, lunch, breakfast
at his house before! I even sleep there! Kyle... I'll let him ask by himself.
After a few hours waiting, I met him at the library. Reading. So I take a seat in front of him and
see him squirming on his seat.
"Erm... Sunny?" Kyle called. I just hummed in response, I want him relaxed so I didn't look up.
"D-d-d-do you... Do you want to be my partner?" He asks. Finally! He asks me!!!!! Woohoo! I
tilted my head up a bit and see him blush. "Yes."

[Time skips at the prom.]

Kyle POV

I'm standing alone awkwardly at the center of the dancing floor. Everyone has their own
partner... Where's mine? I mean... Where is Sunny? I take this time to go to the bathroom and
checked myself in front of the mirror. Okay... Black suit... Tie... I just wear normally and cliche.
Black suit and tie. I rubbed my palm and wash my face with water. "Hey, man." Someone
greeted me from behind. "Hey, Elliott." Elliott is my friend. But we are not too close. Yeah, I think
I only close with Sunny. "Still wearing your contact lens?" He asks and I chuckled. Yes, I need to
use Glasses. I shook my head. "I'll do the LASIK surgery." And he replied with 'O'. "Here, try
this." He handed me a glasses.

"Thanks." I take and wear them on. "Perfect! Now, your partner waiting for new you outside!"
Wait, what?! Before I could protest, Elliott throws me out of the bathroom. Then I saw her... The
other student gives her way as they gasped, shocked. She really acts like a real queen. I'm
speechless... The way she bowled her head a bit... I'm fascinated with every little movement she
made. I quickly have my way towards her and the other move away to give us access. Until I
standing in front of her. Her blue dress... Her braided hair... "H-hi..." Unsure what to say. You can
say me uncool or something but I'm really speechless now... "Hi." She replied with a genuine
smile.

"Y-you look stunning," I said nervously. "Thanks. You look cute with that glasses." And I blushed.
We stared at each other for a moment before a song starts playing...

I'm quite shocked when they played that song. It really described my love to her... But I can't
explain it... It's too deep and hurt. "You don't have to be scared. You know that." She whispered
to my ear. I swear my eyes teary. Luckily, she shorter than me so she didn't see. After the song
ends, we stop dancing. She smiled brightly and my heart flutter. I take my hand in mine again
and bring her out of the hall. We keep running until we arrived at the secret garden behind the
school. I always spend my time in here. I just don't tell anyone else. We both leaned in together
as I hold her hand and watching the stars.

"Hey," I called her and she looks up. "I got a present for you," I said and she sits up. "What?"
She asks cutely. "Close your eyes." She did so immediately and I take her wrist. Put on the
watch that I buy for her. "Okay open your eyes now." She looks at her wrist and gasped. "I need
to thank Sis Alene for this," I said with a cheeky smile. "Thanks." She whispered and leaning in
again. "You're welcome."

[Now, let moves to Kyle worst day.]

I'm so happy today! It's my birthday and this is the first time I asked Sunny for a date. I shrugged
off my nervous feeling and walked towards her house door. My hand almost knocking but
stopped abruptly when I heard screaming. I called the police and act quickly. Kicking the door
open and I saw Sunny's father holding a knife. Sunny was kneeling on the floor, crying and
pleading. "Please, dad... This is not you..." She sobbed. Mr Smith holds his wife as the knife
was on her neck. Her mother cried. Then, he noticed me. "Who the fuck are you?!" He shouted.
Sunny quickly move her head to see me. "Kyle! Go! Go away!" She said hysterically. Then I
remember she told me... Her father suffers from mental illness. "Mr Smith..." I called softly and
slowly walked towards him.

"This is not you," I said and he laughed. "This two bitches!" His hand dug deeper to Mrs Smith
neck, making her neck bleeding a bit. "Don't do this..." I said and he sliced Mrs Smith neck. The
blood-splattered as Sunny crying out loud and I grip his wrist. His wife collapses soulless and
Sunny crawl over her mom. We struggling for a while before the cops burst in and he slipped
from my hand. "Stop!" Sunny yelled as she standing between his father that ready to attack and
the cops. "Dad..." She called softly as her mouth formed the brightest smile she could muster.
"This is not you..." She said and a tear slipped down her bruised face. Her father faces softening
as the knife on his grip fell on the floor. His hand rested to his side for a moment and Sunny take
a step closer.

Suddenly, his eyes darken as his hand move to the back of his trousers. A Gun!

The sounds of bullets filled the air. "Sunny!" I yelled as her almost soulless body collapse to the
floor. Blood running down her stomach like a stream. I get her lay on my lap as the police take
care of her mad father. "Please..." I begged as I see her eyes flutter and she struggled to speak.
"Kyle..." I heard she whispered, slower than a whisper. I lean in and try to catch what she said,
and tears on my face didn't stop falling. "Kyle... I... I... I Love you..." She pants out and I cried
some happy tears. "Please don't leave me..." I whimper and start to hyperventilation. "Please
Sunny don't..." She smiles sadly. "I love you, Kyle..." She whispered for the last time before
everything goes dark.

[A month after Sunny's death.]
Nobody POV

Kyle leans at the wall inside his bathroom. His wrist bleeding as he cut them deeper. The
shower water was still on and scorching hot. This time, he didn't decide to wrap all the bruises
on his body. 'It doesn't feel enough.' He thought and brought the razor to his thighs. Cutting
deeper and deeper. He just wears on a short at that time. His vision starts blurry when someone
banging the door.

Myles POV

Kyle takes too long in the shower, so I decided to check him. "Kyle? Are you alright in there?" I
asked but no answer. I smell blood. "Kyle! Put the blade down and let me in! Kyle!" I banging the
door loudly. No answer. I throw my body weight to force the door open. My little brother sitting
on the floor unconsciously bloody. "Shit!" I cursed and called the ambulance. I don't know what
to do! His body and his head were awfully bloody. Sis Alene and Alex came a few minutes later
with paramedics.

Kyle POV

When I open my eyes, everything was white. Did I finally dead? But then, I realized I'm in a
hospital. Myles sleeping next to me. I try to move away but only managed to shook him awake.
"Hey, hey, don't move." I start crying. My mouth bubbled with apologies. "I'm sorry... I didn't
mean to do it... It just hurts... It's hurt so much!" I sobbed and Myles gets me in his embrace as I
sobbed to his chest like this is the last day. "It's okay..." He coo and I sobbed harder. "Please,
Kyle... Don't do it again..." He said and I nodded eagerly. "I just..." I trailed off and he shushed
me. "It's okay... It's okay... If you need someone to talk, I'll be there okay? No need to bottle up
everything in your head."

He rocked me back and forth and I fell asleep. It takes quite long for the wound to tend up. The
doctor will come every day to check them.

I saw Sunny... She screaming and pleading me to help her but I can't. I can't help her because
there's a bound that keeps me from doing it.

When I finally wake up, I found myself cuddled with my brother. I push him a bit to escape from
his embrace and tiptoed to the bathroom.

I just have done taking my shower and open the bathroom door to see my little Kyle. "Morning,"
I said to my brother as he was slowly awake. "Morning..." He said weakly. I frowned. I walked
towards him and placed back of my hand on his forehead. Kyle has a fever! I called the doctor
and they quickly came. Kyle didn't say anything when the doctor asks him any questions. I saw
him nervously bit his lips. I know he won't speak the truth to the doctor so I ask them out for a
while.

"Kyle..." I scolded softly and he quickly apologized. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" Tears streaming
down his face. "It just hurt so much! I want to wake you up last night but you..." Before he could
say anything I pull him into a hug. He sobbed to my shoulder. "Where?" I said and his shaky
hand pointed to his thighs. I smiled sadly and patted his head. Let him sob to my shirt as the
doctor work on his infected thighs...

"You can wake me up... Wherever you want Kyle." I said and he nodded. After he falls asleep,
officer Steve called me and asks me to go to the police station.

Police Station.
"I believe that Sunny left this for your brother." He said while handing me a plushie, a box and a
birthday card with Kyle's name on it.
