Dear hiring manager,

I'm sending you this email in regards to the opening you have for an internship program at
your gallery. I’m very interested in the position because I would love to see how things run.
Although I’ve never had a job in this career field, I would like to start here. I’ve taken nearly
three years of art in my high school career.

Throughout my entire childhood I’ve known that I wanted to do something in the art field. I
work one year- around job, and one job during the spring/ summer. One job I work is at a vet
clinic where I do all the cleaning and work on organization. This job can get very fast paced,
but for the most part all I have to do is work hard and stay on track. My second job is at a
local grill restaurant. During the summer this job gets very busy. On top of these two jobs I
also have to balance school work and extracurriculars.

When it comes to my skills in art, my strongest ability is variety. I’m a quick learner and
adjust easily to new styles. I’ve worked in several different styles of art. Including clay,
watercolor, acrylic paint on canvas, charcoal, pencil drawings, work with jewelry, and much
more. I would like to gain more experience in the art field and I know this internship would
help with that. I can help provide organization skills and a different perspective on things.
