Eylem Eylül Acarsoy is a fresh-graduate 24-year-old Visual Communication Designer. She approaches
design as research. She creates system-questioning works deriving from her individualistic approach. Her
works stem from either her self-reflective attitude or scientific research, but they always come out social.
Her specialties are interaction design, editorial design, branding and design management. She aims to
merge her academic, practice, and artistic aspects through her work.

I have been working as a freelance designer since my sophomore year in bachelor’s for various

İHKİB GİY Competition - Apparel Innovation Competition and Education Platform
as Design and Communication Coordinator

İHKİB GİY is a Non-Profit Apparel Innovation Competition and Education Platform for university
students from all disciplines. The aim of the competition is to encourage, gather and educate
students to design innovative apparel projects with sustainability and social insights via
design-thinking methods within interdisciplinary teams. It takes place in digital with the
contributions of Turkish Ministry of Commerce, Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK),
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Istanbul Apparel Exporters Assosiation (İHKİB), Istanbul
Apparel Exporters Education Foundation.

 I started the process as Visual Designer, afterwards included to “Arama Consultancy
İHKİB GİY Team” as Design and Communication Coordinator which includes Prof. Dr. Oğuz
Babüroğlu, Selçuk Karaata, Dr. Duygu Özalp and Müjde Keskin. We have been working for
İHKİB and İHKİB Education Foundation, in coordination with 12 Yapım Creative Agency and
SPP42 Software Development Company.

My roles in the project:

• Visual Identity (Logo, Poster, Print (Brochure, Rollup, Jury Manual etc.), Promotion and
Advertisement Videos, Competition Guide, Informative Presentations)
•PR (Communication with Universities and Student Clubs,Presentations for Students
and Academics)
•Moderation of the Trainings/Conferences/Workshops
•One to one Communication (Mailing with Students and Academic Mentors, Solving
Student’s problems)
•Data Management (Collecting and classifying the application, assignment and attendance
data, data analysis, reporting, data visualisations)
•Education Platform Coordination (Communication with Software Team via producitivity
tools, Administration of the Education Platform)
•Social Media Coordination (Communication with Social Media Agency, Creative Content
Creation for Social Media, Art Direction)
•Management of Final Jury and Award Ceremony, Dates, Action Plan Organizations
•Mentoring (Enlightening students about Design Thinking, UI-UX, Information Design,

Interactive Digital Exhibits To Experience Architectural Heritage: The Case of Balcony

Balustrades of Ankara (1950-1975)

The project focuses on the adoption of computational design practices for the visualization
of architectural building components and their reflections on society. The idea is to initiate a
collaboration between the disciplines of interaction design and architectural history and ex
periment with the possibilities offered by digital tools to interpret, appreciate and exhibit
architectural elements which by definition exist in a widespread geographical distribution
that makes them difficult to see, compare understand in association.

• designed the interface of Interactive Database both for mobile and big screen with
supervision of Daniele Savasta
•designed images for Social Media (Youtube Thumbnails for each interviewee)
