Given the necessary tools, equipment and consumables, following industry/


Standard and occupational health and safety guidelines,
within 4 hours, you must be able to demonstrate the tasks below:

1. Install electrical metallic /non-metallic (PVC conduit)


2. Install wire ways and cable tray
3. Install auxiliary terminal cabinet and distribution panel
4. Prepare for cable pulling and installation
5. Perform wiring and cabling lay out
6. Notify completion of work

Interpret correct drawing to determine job requirements


Determine correct Quantities of Conduit, fittings and
accessories as per job requirement
Select correct quantities of materials as per job

Bend Conduit with bends not exceeding 90° as per job
requirements
Install Conduit couplings and elbows as per job
requirements
Thread Conduit in line with job requirements

Identify Cable pulling & installation requirements and
constraints from plan and site inspection as per job

Set up Cable lay out & installation equipment in
accordance with manufacturer's and job requirements*
Safe and Secure Site is made for cable installation

Identify and obtain Tools, equipment, pulling compound
and safety requirements for the lay out and installation
Install Pulling materials and properly tension to required
specifications
Install and secure Cable permanently to support structure
in accordance with standard installation procedures
Observe Bending radius and loops tolerance for cable
materials at all times
Follow Schedule of wire cutting lists based on estimates,
quantity and sizes to avoid wastage
Required Further instructions are sought if unplanned
events or conditions occur
Check quality of work in accordance with instructions and
requirements
Make Final checks to ensure that work conforms with
instructions and job requirements
Notify Supervisor upon completion of work*

Appropriately Clean, Check, and return Tools, equipment


and any surplus resources and materials are, where in
accordance with established procedures
Clean-up and make safe the Work area is cleaned up
according to OHSA regulations
