1. What is the importance of Planning in our Society?

How does it help in future

development?

Planning is a crucial process in designing buildings. It is an essential aspect of any town's

growth, development, and long-term viability for its residents and businesses. It indicates a
systematic attempt to create a better future. Making socially rational choices and informing the
course of action is what planning involves. Planning provides a public or broad meaning, like
making sure economic growth and stability; undergoing chosen investments, and, in the absence
of private industry involvement, influencing desired private industry behavior through different
forms of subsidization; restricting private industry doings to protect the overall wellbeing of the
people; redistributing revenue based on the principles; and securing people and corporations
against the effect of uncertainty. The public interest must be continued to pursue and faithfully
served throughout the planning stage. Planning is necessary to guide our society’s economic
growth and stability, to create a land-use style that is both sensible and appealing, to sustain or
make improvements to what has already existed, and to provide community services that address
the society's needs and requirements, to gain and establish for open spaces and recreational
activities, achieving the aesthetic appeal and parks. Planning does help society to adapt to future
development. It helps the community to identify its purpose and it can influence the environment
by changing the properties of environmental forces through the layout of architectural elements.
2. How will you describe planning as an activity and as a profession? What will be your
objectives?
Planning as an activity and a profession has a big role in our society. Architects create
designs for future building projects, renovations, and redevelopment projects. They create a new
design that is appropriate, secure, and aesthetically appealing in the eye of the community.
Planning deals with the setbacks, zoning, and land use guidelines but chooses to ignore the art of
creating the urban into a meaningful pattern; of seeing a town as more than just a complex
relationship of streets, plazas, and blocks; as pathways and endpoints, historic buildings and
municipalities, permeability and existence, all feature dynamic coming together. However, urban
planning does not see the town as a structure but as an identity and character of our society. There
are so many issues regarding the planning of a city, some of our people do not appreciate and
understand the beauty and the works of being an urban planner. Some people in the best places in
the world still see planning as just a street improvement or lawn maintenance. But as we all know,
planning as a profession has an important role in our society, Urban planner develops plans and
they use planning to build a community, accommodate development, and help rebuild physical
infrastructure. Our objectives are to meet the needs and requirements of the community. It involves
the accessibility of disabled people, the visual characteristics of building elements and spaces, the
cost-effective design development, the spatial needs and durability of the building elements, the
preservation of a historic building to understand the city’s heritage and the safety of the community
against natural or man-made hazards.
