since I graduated from college in 1974.
Bob Milek and Skeeter Skelton were my
favorite writers. Bob got me interested
in T/C Contenders, of which I own sev-
eral. Skeeter had a flair for prose that I
think has never been equaled. His arti-
cles were extremely entertaining as well
as informative. I own two of his compi-
lation books, which I still read.
And I really enjoyed the recent article
on the Marlin rebirth written by Layne
