    RE: Abigail Brocwell PRESS RELEASE On behalf of Abigail Brocwell and her parents, we want to thank the Bueyrus area community for the overwhelming support that Abigail and her family has received. Abigail did absolutely nothing wrong to warrant the treatment that she has received from the Bratwurst Festival Board. ‘The Bratwurst Festival is a community organization and should support community values - like truth and faimess, But there was no truth and no fairness in what happened to Abigail being dethroned as Bratwurst Queen The Bratwurst Board's unjust action is allegedly based on Abigail and her mother attending the Baltimore Festival luncheon on August 6. Abigail was not attending the luncheon as a representative of the Bratwurst Festival. She was not dressed as the Bratwurst Queen - she was not wearing a dirndl, was not ‘wearing a crown, and was not wearing a sash, She did not hold herself out as a representative of the Bratwurst Festival, and she and her mother paid for the luncheon themselves. To set the record straight on this, we are attaching a copy of the check used to pay for the luncheon, a letter from the Pageant/Queens Director of the Baltimore Festival, and a picture taken at the 8/6/2022 Baltimore Fe luncheon. Abigail Brocwell was clearly on her own time - she was not representing the Bratwurst Festival. Unknown to Abigail, her attendance at that luncheon was twisted around and put into motion a behind- the-scenes, out-of-control effort to have her dethroned. And by Monday, August 8th, Abigail was asked to attend @ meeting that she thought had to do with the upcoming Bratwurst Festival. However, the Bratwurst Board had concealed the true purpose of the meeting, which was to dethrone Abigail. When Abigail arrived, the Board members were all signing the letter to remove her as Bratwurst Queen, The letter was based on false allegations; but when Abigail tried to explain the true situation, no one was listening as the decision had essentially been made. Attached is a true copy of the 8/8/2022 letter signed by the Bratwurst Festival Board. It is hard to understand why all eight (8) Board members would sign such a document without double checking their information. Such negligence is inexcusable, At this point, the Bratwurst Festival Board continues to blame Abigail for their actions and incredibly are demanding an apology from Abigail? This bblame-the-vietim strategy is yet another insult in this whole matter As for the Board's return-of-property demand, Abigail Brocwell attempted to return the Bratwurst Festival Board property she had but no one was willing to accept it, noting that she had to deal directly with their attomey. Likewise, the Bratwurst Festival Board has some of Abigail Brocwell’s personal property. The whole one-sided position of the Bratwurst Festival Board and their action taken against Abigail needs to be transparent. We have requested documents and records from the Bratwurst Festival through theit attorney and will release them to the news media when we receive them - the Bratwurst Board's action clearly needs to see the light of day. On August 5, 2022, Angie Brocwell contacted me via Facebook to advise me that there would be a change of attendance for the reservation for the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival that she and her daughter would no longer be able to attend and that the Princess and her mom were coming in their place. However she did ask if there was any way that she could possibly attend in an unofficial capacity as her daughter (Abigail) and one of the outgoing Baltimore Festival court members had become very good friends. | advised Angie that, she was welcome to attend with her daughter as a friend of Addison Brobst {outgoing court member). | advised her that she was attending purely as 2 friend and could not wear her crown or sash and that she must pay for both. entries at the door . She agreed and understood, They then checked in at the Baltimore Festival Luncheon on August 6, 2022 my assistant director Emma Stephens was checking people in and taking payments at the door. In a letter given to members of the 2021 Bratwurst Festival Royalty Court on Aug. 3 ‘the board suspended queen travel “for the remainder of the season.” By attending the Baltimore Festival Queen’s Luncheon, you knowingly disregarded this Board decision. While in violation of the previously stated Board decision, you were in violation of Contract Rule No. 4, which states “A German dindl and apron are required for all appearances made as a representative of Bratwurst Festival, Inc., unless directed by the Royalty Committee Advisor.” By attending the Baltimore Festival Queen’s Luncheon and participating in Subsequent events as a fellow queen, you represented yourself and Bratwurst Festival, Inc., as the 2021 Bratwurst Festival Queen despite being without your crown and sash. The signed contract remains in place until its expiry date on Aug. 21, 2022, and states that, as of the date of signing, you and your actions represent and are the responsibility of Bratwurst Festival, Inc. and its Board of Directors, This signed contract also places your travel and representation of the Bratwurst Festival in the hands of the Royalty Committee, stating “The Royalty Committee Chair, the Royalty Travel Chairperson, and their assigned chaperones will now be in control of your travel and your representation of the Bratwurst Festival.” In addition, Contract Rule No. 5 states “The Royalty travel chairperson will handle all travel arrangements and luncheon reservations. The Queen and Court may only attend events that are approved by the Royalty Committee Advisor.” The letter issued by the Board of Directors on Aug. 3, in addition to the information given to members of the Royalty Court during the subsequent meeting, revoked your permission to attend the Baltimore Festival Queen’s Luncheon, Additionally, in photographs the Royalty Board Representative received of your activities on Aug. 6, you were observed with your cell phone in your hand. This act is found to be in violation of Contract Rule No. 9, which states “No cell phones or other electronic devices may be used in the public view while in representation of Bratwurst Festival, Inc.” 3308.
