It’s fantastic. There are more than four hundred wax figures. My favourite is Superman, but there are a
lot of famous people-James Bond, the Beatles and there is a fantastic Madonna.

It’s great. There are lions, elephants, snakes. The monkeys are funny, but the big attraction is the panda.
My dad says the zoo is really big. There are thousands of animals. There is also a shop with souvenirs.

It’s really big, but there is a big map of the park,so it’s ok. There are lots of things to see. There is a river
and there are boats on the river. There are playgrounds for the children, too.

Hi, my country is a big country in Europe. In the south it is very hot in summer and many tourists come
from all over Europe because it is cheap and the beaches are very nice. Up in the north it is very green
and beautiful. There are a lot of beautiful old cities here: Barcelona, Seville and Granada. The capital is
Madrid.

Hello, my country is a very big country. It is in Central America, next to the United States of America. In
my country there are jungles, mountains and volcanoes. There are men with very big hats called
sambreros. Our food is very hot, too.

Hi, my country is very very big. The people in the cities have small houses or flats with one or two
rooms. The favourite tourist attraction in my counrty is The Great Wall. Our language is very difficult. We
write in pictures, not letters and words and it is very difficult. My favourite food is rice.

1) It’s really hot in Australia at Christmas. We go to the beach all day and swim in the sea.

2) In New Zealand it’s hot at Christmas. We always have Christmas dinner outside in the garden. We
usually eat meat. My dad cooks it on the barbecue.

3) In Norway there’s a lot of snow. We don’t use our cars, we ski.

4) I love Christmas. We meet friends in the city and sing carols under the Christmas tree.

-Michael, thanks for coming to the studio.

-My pleasure.

-First, can I ask you –What makes someone a great basketball player?

-Well, it’s not easy, it’s very hard work, but first you must be fit. You mustn’t eat hamburgers or other
fast food.
-Oh, can you eat cheeseburgers?

-No, sorry. You must eat healthy food.

-Can we eat chips?

-No, sorry, Bob. Now you must be tall. That’s a good thing. Sometimes very short people are good, but
usually basketball players are tall.

-What must you do on the court, you know, during the game?

- Well, you must be good at shooting, and you must be a good dribbler, oh yes and you must pass the
ball. You know, you must be a good member of the team. Some young players play on their own, I
mean they don’t pass the ball. You’re not going to be a good player that way. Remember you’re playing
in the team.

- My favourite comic book hero was Tarzan. He was an orphan. So, his parents were monkeys in the
Jungle, you know. His friends were the animals in the Jungle. I love animals, so that was great. Tarzan
was the King of the Jungle. He was strong and clever. Oh, yes he had a friend Jane, a beautiful and
intelligent woman.

-So, Edna tell us about your home.

-Our house in the city or the igloos?

-They are very different , aren’t they?

- Yes. In the city we’ve got three bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower, a living room, a kitchen, you know.
There’s upstairs and downstairs. That’s fun. We’ve got a garage for the car. We’ve got friendly
neighbours, and that’s nice. The igloos haven’t got those things, but I really like it in the igloo.

-Why?

-Well, it’s very quiet. We haven’t got any neighbours, so we feel free, you know. We haven’t got
electricity in the igloo, but we’ve got some light. We use oil lamps. It’s nice and warm. It’s not cold
inside, and we can have fun. We haven’t got our own bedroom or TV, so we hunt and play in the snow.
We wash in the snow. There isn’t a shower or bathroom, and there aren’t any stairs. So, we play a lot
outside.

Canadian pancakes

First, you mix the flour, salt and baking powder together in a big bowl. Then, add
some juice, some eggs and some honey. And mix it all together. Chop an apple
into small pieces, and add this to the mixture. Now the mixture is ready for
cooking. Put some mixture in a pan, and cook each pancake for 10 minutes. When
the pancakes are ready you can add some syrup or honey. They are ready to eat.
Delicious Canadian pancakes. Enjoy!!!
