8/16/2022 INTRODUCTION: “City has received multiple complaints from employees alleging harassment ‘against you. _(IF HE ASKS WHO COMPLAINED OR WHAT THE COMPLAINTS ALLEGE, PLEASE RESPOND “THE INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE INVESTIGATOR AT THE APPROPRIATE TIME"). ‘as you know, the law requires the City to conduct a thorough investigation into all such complaints and take appropriate action once facts are determined. *we do not have any assumptions about the results of the investigation. We will wait to take action, if there is any, until the investigation is completed, and all patties have been given due process. INVESTIGATION: “City has retained an independent law firm to investigate INcomplaince, which is based out of Ohi *You will be contacted by Incompliance and are expected to cooperate in the investigation. *you may have a representative with you during any interview, *you are instructed not to initiate direct or indirect contact with any complainant ‘or witness in the investigation or to interfere with the investigation in any way. ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE WITH PAY: *to protect all parties and the credibility of the investigation, you are being placed on administrative leave with pay until further notice effective immediately, *while on administrative leave: * you are not to report to work, engage in work, represent the City in any capacity, or access City facilities or email or other City of Public Safety systems without written permission. ‘your public safety authority is temporarily suspended. *you must turn in your public safety identification and badge, all City issued equipment including firearms, vehicle, portable radio, cell phone and keys, etc. *you will not be required to call in on a daily basis, but must respond immediately to all telephone or email contacts by authorized City representatives (OBTAIN ALTERNATE PHONE AND EMAIL CONTACT INFORMATION FOR CHIEF) ANTIRETLIATION POLICY: “The City has a strong anti-retaliation policy which it takes very seriously. “the City will not tolerate any retaliation against any person who files a complaint or participates or cooperates in any investigation, *if you believe you are being or have been retaliated against please report the retaliation to me immediately.
