Vacation Description
My last vacation was exceptional.
I visited Baños de Agua Santa located in the province of Tungurahua, which
has hot springs, waterfalls, rivers, mountains and an active volcano. It has a
very changeable climate because in the mornings it rained a little and, in the
afternoons, it was sunny and then cloudy; all in the same incredible day.
The first place we headed to with our group guide was the adventure park,
where we did a circuit; I started with a zip line; then walked on a swinging
bridge; did some rock climbing; and then jumped down another zip line. Then
we went to the hot springs, where I took a relaxing bath.
During my stay there we also visited the Casa del Arbol and enjoyed the breath-
taking view of Baño and the Tungurahua volcano. There was a swing there you
can sit on it and admire the view. We rented some bicycles and made the route
of the waterfalls, we visited the Agoyán waterfall, Puerta del Cielo waterfall,
Manto de la Novia waterfall, the "San Jorge" and "San Pedro" waterfalls, Pailón
del Diablo, and the Machay waterfall; finished the tour we went for a refreshing
swim in the pools of the Rocío waterfall.
We also did some sports activities such as rafting, canopy, kayaking, and
paragliding. Here I show some pictures of this spectacular vacation, although I
was a bit out of my comfort zone, I enjoyed it very much.
In the first picture, we are
climbing some rocks and it
was in the circuit we did in
the adventure park, it was a
little high, as you can see
below us was a river and
there were many rocks and
they were a little wet
because it rained that day.

In the second picture, we went to the zip

line, better known as canopy is an adventure
activity that consists of a pulley suspended
by cables mounted on a slope or incline.
Here we felt the adrenaline as it is an
extreme sport and at the same time, we
enjoyed the surrounding nature, also as we can see we enjoyed a wonderful
view and its river.

In the third image we enjoyed

the thermal baths, we bathed
and played in the waters. We
also relaxed in its waters.
Clearing our minds for a while,
we had a lot of fun in the hot
springs. We ate an exquisite
meal and headed to our next
adventure which you will see in
the next image.

In this fourth image we headed to the tree house where we enjoyed the
beautiful view of the Tungurahua volcano while swinging. It is an outdoor sport;
we enjoyed the breeze and its
surroundings. The spectacular
view and especially the
adrenaline that you feel when
you get on the swing. As we
can see in the picture when
you get on the swing you feel
fear, but then you feel the
adrenaline and you can
appreciate the scenery.

In this fifth image as you can see,

we went to the pailon del diablo,
where we made long walks
because the place is very long to
walk. We went down a staircase but
carefully because the stairs were
wet, from there we appreciated the
river, very beautiful place. We were
already tired and we sat on some
benches that had the place, we
rested a while and continued
walking. Then we found a bridge
where we crossed it very carefully, we felt the breeze and the beautiful view that
the place gave us. We took some pictures and went back the way we came.
In this sixth picture I am with my guide and my companions of the Tour, that day
we did a sport called Rafting, when we got to the river, they gave us neoprene,
helmet, shoes and life
vest.
Then one of the
instructors explained to
us, in detail, how to
paddle and the orders to
overcome the rapids of
the river. This experience
was a lot of fun and we
were never bored.

In this seventh and last picture, as you can see our guide took us to paragliding,
we moved to the Niton hill sector, that day we were recommended to wear
warm clothes, once there, our guide explained how we should take off and land
while he acclimatized us to the cold wind.
The flight lasted about 20 minutes, I felt like a bird, flying through the skies I
enjoyed the landscapes that surrounded us, mountains like Tungurahua,
Altares,
Chimborazo. Then I landed and waited for the rest of the group and we returned
to the city of Baños.

How enchanted I was with this fabulous destination that seems to be hidden in
our Andes mountain range, but that shines with its own light, I hope to visit
again and take my family.
