TITLE FARROWING STAGE (SELECTION STARTS)
OBJECTIVE To ensure that piglets selected in the farrowing pass the standard that the HYPOR gave.
SCOPE This procedure is applicable for Farrowing Swine only.

Responsible Activities
Leadman / Hogman / Farrowing 1. Assists the farrowed sow (fill up the farrowing data)

2. Checking on the line of the sow whether it is PS, GP, or GGP
3. Selection start on GP and GGP only
4. GP sows is the Landrace and Large white its piglets classified as Parent Stock or the PS
(all the piglets that are selected in GP sows are directly the PS or the Libra)
5. GGP sows such as the Duroc (Kanto and Magnus) and Pietrain are the sire lines all its
progeny are GGP if and only the males piglets has no genetic defect such us scrotal hernia,
Genetics
umbilical hernia or one egg etc. If one of the males in one litter size possesses the genetic
defect all the males are downgraded to PS. And if two or more male possess genetic defect
all the piglets will be market hogs.
6. GGP sows such as Landrace and Large white are the dam lines . if one male has genetic
defects all female will turn into GP piglets. And if it has two males possess genetic defects
all piglets in one litter size turn into market hogs or the final product.
7. All the selected piglets will undergo the tail docking, for the selected GGP and PS males they
will not be castrated.

8. Upon reaching 23 days of age like any other piglets they will be weight and transfer to
nursery. Sow will be transfer back to breeding.

TITLE NURSERY STAGE

OBJECTIVE To ensure that the selected piglets in the nursery are all well taken care off.
SCOPE This procedure is applicable on selected piglets in Nursery Stage Swine only.

Responsible Activities
1. Selected and the final products piglets are in AD LIBITUM feeding.
2. Vaccination Schedule

Note: Age of piglets reaching at 28, 35, 42 and 56 days
3. Deworming and vitamins
Genetics 4. Monitor of the selected piglets in every room
5. Upon reaching 75 days the market hogs will be seeded to growing.
Some of the PS pigs will be transfer to growing for commercial breeder’s purposes.

The remaining selected PS growers, the GP and the GGP will be transfer to gilt development
units

OBJECTIVE
requirement on each buyer.
SCOPE This procedure is applicable for growing stage Swine only.

Responsible Activities
1. Feeding of grower pigs and selected is AD LIBITUM feeding
2. Vitamins

Note: 76, 85, 94, 105, and 125 days
4. Checking the tags of selected pigs.
