The diagrams illustrate the process of building an

igloo.
The given illustration shows several stages of constructing an ice
shelter.
Overall, it is clear from the diagram that there are a total of 5 main
steps to build the igloo, starting from choosing hard-packed snow
on the surface.
Observing the first stage of the picture, after finding a hard-pack
snow area, the snow is then sawed into blocks with the
appropriate size, 15, 8, and 3 inches in height, wide, and narrow
respectively. Next, the largest ice block will be placed on top to
cover the igloo. The following step is to smoothen the sides of the
blocks by repeating the sawing process, and builders will put
these blocks orderly in a round shape. The constructors then
create a hole above the front side of the igloo to make an
entrance direct to the ice house.
Moving further to the next stage, the manufacturers will add a
loose snow layer outside the igloo with a shovel and use snow to
cover all of the block’s crevices. The inside surface of the igloo
will also be smoothened manually and the remained snow will be
shoved out. Finally, the main entranceway will be shaped
following the desired design, and it will be covered by snow
blocks to prevent the cold temperature from running into the igloo.
