<:~~"'~,J- Approval letter to 3mm HYDROSTOP waterproofing membrane

The M/s TIKI TAR Industries, Gujarat is an ISO company is manufacturing Bridge deck,
Basement, Podium, Pond lining and Roof top water proofing as per 19:>: 9001 - 2008 and with
Nationalized standards.

HYDROSTOP is the ideal membrane for use as waterproofing for Concrete Bridge Deck, in
lieu of Mastic Asphalt, under BC overlay.

The company presently at Panchmahals, Gujarat producing Bridge deck, Basement, Podium,
Pond lining and Roof top water proofing which conforming to as per 1St(9001 - 2008. The deck
must be clean' and free from dust and generally even. A coat of Tiki Bitumen Primer is then
applied @ 200- 250 gms/m2 and allowed to dry. HYDROSTOP is then applied by torch on method
by the trained applicator. The rolls are lined up and spread open over the deck area with proper
side laps and end laps. The membrane is then rolied back without changing its orientation. It is
unrolled once again and the, underside is evenly and sufficiently torched to cause surface
melting. Press the membrane from above from inside to out ensuring that there is no entrapped
air and there is proper adhesion to the deck. The lap joints should be heated from the top to
produce a thin bead of molten bitumen at the seam, which should then be smoothened out with
a hot trowel, ensuring a properly welded joint.

Tiki Polymer and Rubber Modified Bitumen improves resistance to cracking, resulting in stronger
and more durable overlays for corridors in the areas of extreme climatic conditions and heavy
traffic loads. It reduces deformation on roads at elevated temperature (SOoC to 70°C} where
rutting is excessive. It is achieved due to improved viscosity and elastic recovery of polymer and
rubber based modified bitumen, compared to co.nventional bitumen.

As usual Tiki Tar's desire to move beyond the conventional products and constant endeavor to
be the pioneers in the Industry had led to collaboration with Elsamex (Europe) for manufacturing
high quality Polymer Modified Bitumen Emulsions used for National Highways ~nd Airport
Runways.

bn the basis of literature submitted by the company, ·list of vendors, NON CUMBERSOME
operation process of HYDROSTOP, supervision is easy, no weight on bridge deck and paving can
commence immediately, it is concluded that M/s TIKI TAR Industries, Gujarat can be considered
as approved vendors as waterproofing for Concrete Bridge Deck, in lieu of Mastic Asphalt,
under BC overlay.
