SPEAKING PART 3 - VINH

Actually, there are several reasons why cell phones are useful.

First of all, cell phones are a good way to communicate. You can keep in touch with other peoples including your
friends and relatives in a distance. Many young people are also using cell phone for dating through social apps as
well.

Secondly, today cell phones are not merely a mean of communication, but they are also very smart. People can use
their cell phones for entertaining as well. They can update the news, listen to music, watch videos on Youtube,
Netflix, and so on. Thus, cell phones can be a kind of amusement and keep us from getting bored.

Another use of cell phones is that they can be extremely handy in case of emergency such as fire cases, accidents,
natural disasters. You can use cell phone to call to a list of available emergency numbers in your country for help. I
believe that proper communication through cell phones can save human life.

Last but not least, we can see that nowadays cell phones have tremendous applications in the field of education. For
example, cell phones allow students for distance learning. Through cell phones students can study at home, work in
groups on their assignments and exchanging feedback or information.

Now, I will answer question number:

1. Can people use their cell phones while they’re driving in your country?
I’d say it’s definitely not. Driving while using cell phones in my country is illegal. It’s extremely dangerous as
people loose concentration if they use their cell phone. A lot of fatal traffic accidents have been recorded as
a result of manipulating cell phones behind the wheel.
2. Do you think people should be fined for using their cell phones in a no cell phone areas?
In cases of security, I suppose the answer is yes. Because modern cell phones are multi-functional and can be
used as recording devices or cameras so using them in such places will surely increase the risk of security
intruders or interference. I think a fine should be applied for such behavior.
3. What was life like before cell phones?
Well, I’d say that life would be significantly different without the presence of the cell phone. Many people
today are addicted to electronic connections rather than true communication, so I could imagine that life
without cell phones would be quite dull and boring. However, on the other aspect, I am pretty sure that life
was calm and peaceful as there were no interference or consequence due to the harmful effects of cell
phones.
