whom he was linked for twenty years, since 2021 he
has been a member of the Paris Saint-Germain
squad of Ligue 1 in France. He is also international
with the Argentine national team, a team of which
he is captain.

and one of the best of all time, he is the only
footballer in history who has won, among other
distinctions, the Ballon d'Or seven times, six FIFA
awards for the best player of the world and six
Golden Boots. In 2020, he became the first

Ballon d'Or Dream Team.

With Barcelona he has won 35 titles, including ten

from La Liga, four from the UEFA Champions

are kept, in official matches.

Born and raised in the city of Rosario, at the age of

pay for the treatment of the hormonal disease that
he had been diagnosed with as a child. After a rapid
progression through the Barcelona Youth Academy,
he made his official first-team debut in October
2004, aged seventeen. Despite being injury-prone
early in his career, as early as 2006 he established
himself as a pivotal player for the club. His first
uninterrupted campaign was the 2008-09 season, in
which Barcelona reached the first treble in Spanish
football.

In 2009, at the age of twenty-two, he won his first

Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year

he won an unprecedented four Ballon d'Ors in a
