TURBINE • Excessively contaminated compressor cause;
• Engine failing to accelerate to full speed
MAINTENANCE • General lack of acceleration
• Compressor surge
• Inability of the engine to pull full load
• Clean whenever Pcd has dropped 5% than new engine
baseline
• Contamination caused by dust, oil or salt due to:
• Poor air filtration
• Oil leaking into the compressor air inlet and/or
• Oil mist from the oil tank vent
• Removes deposits from the compressor blades to
restore engine performance 5
