CONFIRMATION FORM
1. An Accountancy Student must have no failing grade in any of his/her subjects relevant to the
course Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
2. An Accountancy student shall enjoy three lifelines during his/her stay in the College of Business
and Accountancy. The said lifelines will be reduced every time the student:
i incurred a grade lower than 2.5, but above the failing grade in all retention courses,
ii received “DROPPED” or “INCOMPLETE” remarks from his/her professor, or
iii in case they did not pass the mock board examination that will be given to all incoming
2nd year and 3rd year BSA students before the start of 1st semester.
3. He/ She must obtain an equivalent grade of no lower than two-point-five (2.50) or eighty-one (81)
in all his/her Business Education Core Subjects, Information Technology Education subjects and
Accounting and Finance Education subjects specified in CMO No. 27 Series of 2017.
3.1 However, a student who obtained passing grades (between 75% - 80%) but below the
retention grade in any of the abovementioned subjects may be allowed to remain in the
Accountancy Program provided he/she agree to reenroll the same on its/their regular
offering, with the aim improving his/her academic performance and, meeting the retention
grade.
4. The student must have a general weighted average (GWA) of two-point-five (2.50) or eighty-one
(81) computed based on all academic subjects they enrolled in a given academic period. (NSTP,
P.E. and C.E. subjects are excluded for purpose of weighted average grade computation.)
5. For first year BSA students, they are not required to obtain the retention grade in Accounting 1
and Accounting 2 but should pass the courses (taken during the first and second semester of the
program). This is to give the student ample time to adjust to his/her college life.
That in the event of non-compliance to the above conditions, he/she shall be no longer qualified
under the BS Accountancy Program and may shift to other business courses the College offer that the
Dean/Academic Head may recommend to may his/her abilities and skills.
