Commissioning Procedure for QXEH-pumps

This document describes the commissioning procedure for QXEH-pumps in servo drives.
This procedure must be applied in following three cases:
1. Pumps in new machines at the production plant.
2. Pumps in new machines at the end customer after filling the oil tank (only “1. Step” and “4. Step” necessary, see
Figure 1).
3. In case of a pump replacement in the field.

1 De-Airing the Pump

- See “1. Step” in Figure 1 below.
- During the de-airing the pump delivers its flow and the air directly into the tank. It must be ensured that the oil is free
from bubbles and foam before the de-airing is completed.
- Maximum outlet pressure: 15 bar.
- Maximum start viscosity of the hydraulic oil: 300 cSt (10 °C with HLP46)

2 Oil Heating
- See “4. Step” in Figure 1 below.
- By using mineral oil HLP 46 the oil heating phase of the commissioning is completed when the oil temperature reaches
35 °C. After the commissioning procedure the minimum allowable operating temperature is 25 °C.
Goal of the Commissioning Procedure is to ensure a proper Outlet Pressure
running-in for the pump w ith the respective fluid in the QXEH - Commissioning Procedure Shaft Speed
respective machine. If the required shaft speed can not be 3500
achieved, please communicate w ith Bucher Hydraulics. 7. Step, cyclic running-in
