GA 75L-110 VSD PLUS PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

ATLAS COPCO COMPRESSORS

Model: GA 75L-110VSD+ Oil Injected Rotary Screw Air Compressor – Air Cooled

Overview
The new revolutionary GA 75L-110 VSD+ is packed with innovative features that increase its
efficiency, cut its energy consumption, lower its noise levels, and reduce its operating costs. On top of
that, it meets or even exceeds all currently applicable standards.
With its innovative vertical design, Atlas Copco’s GA 75L-110 VSD+ brings a game-changing
revolution in the compressor industry. It offers Variable Speed Drive+ as standard, a compact motor
and footprint and iPM (interior Permanent Magnet) technology. The GA 75L-110 VSD+ reduces
energy consumption by 50% on average, with uptimes assured even in the harshest operational
conditions.
The GA 75L-110 VSD+ is the air compressor of the future, designed and built by Atlas Copco. It will
set a new standard for years to come in the compressed air industry.

Key Features
Drive Motor
The compressor is powered by an oil cooled, interior permanent magnet
(IPM) motor. This compact, custom designed motor exceeds NEMA
premium efficiency standards and requires no cooling air flow or re-
greasing, which increases uptime and reliability while virtually eliminating
motor maintenance. The pressure-tight, oil-cooled drive system has no
gears or belts and no shaft seal, making it virtually maintenance-free. The
IP66 enclosure provides you with the peace of mind that your motor is well
protected from any exposure to the environment.

Airend Element and Drivetrain

A superior rotary screw Airend element with the latest Atlas Copco asymmetric rotor
profile provides for the optimum combination of maximized free air delivery with low
power consumption. The unique vertical drive train design minimizes the footprint of
the GA-VSD+ offering superior flexibility for our customer’s installation plans.

The motor drives the male rotor of the element directly making gears or belts and
shaft seal redundant. This allows a pressure tight drive train through which the oil
flows from the motor to the element.

By using oil, a more efficient cooling medium, on the drive train, no motor cooling fan
is needed. This in combination with an already more efficient (less cooling needed)
motor allows us to save an extra amount of energy on the cooling needs of the unit
which again contributes to an extra saving on the SER!

Axial Cooling Fan

Axial design optimized for VSD+, the unit’s high-efficiency cooling

fan has extremely low noise levels and is based on the newest
technology. The pressure head is sufficient for ducting with up to
0.12 in H2O backpressure.

NEOS VSD

The GA 75L-110 VSD+ is equipped with the Atlas

Copco Neos drive. This drive is developed specifically
for compressors. Dust is one of the main enemies of
electronic equipment. The Neos drive is completely
enclosed and thus protected against dust and harsh
environments. The heatsink of the frequency drive is
located outside the cubicle. No forced cooling through
cooling fans is required for the cubicle. The electronics
are completely enclosed so no dust can enter the
cubicle, maximizing uptime and reliability.

Neos ensures ultimate peace of mind.

Elektronikon® Touch regulator module

The next-generation Elektronikon® Touch controller provides you

with an intuitive easy to use touch screen controller. The
Elektronikon® Touch controller additionally offers a great variety
of control and monitoring features that allow you to increase your
compressor’s efficiency and reliability thanks to the many
embedded advanced control algorithms.

SMARTLINK remote monitoring is integrated into the controller,

maximizing the air system performance and energy savings.

Nautilus Filter Technology

After years of research and

development, Atlas Copco
has created the UD+. By
utilizing a large number of
open layers of wrapped
glass fiber media Atlas
Copco have been able to
reduce the pressure drop of
the standard
coalescing filter while maintaining oil removal performance. This reduction has allowed for the
combination of 2 filter stages into one which has created a coalescing filter with an unrivaled
wet pressure drop.

meet the 0.01 micron oil

of most applications.

EWD – Zero Air Loss Drain

Condensate Drain

How is an EWD better than a timer

operated drain?

Atlas Copco’s EWD range is superior to timer operated

drains in several key ways. First, Atlas Copco’s EWDs
have wide passage ways and timer operated drains
have narrow ones; narrow passage ways increase the
likelihood that the unit will become blocked, thereby not
allowing the unit to drain properly. Second, timer
operated drains are inferior in their design and often
result in drains becoming stuck open, which wastes air
and decreases overall efficiency. Lastly, timer
controlled drains open at constant intervals and each
time they open, an average of 25cfm of compressed air
is wasted, which can become very expensive; Atlas
Copco’s EWDs wastes absolutely no compressed air.
