Welcome to the Artiverse!

Dear Dynamo,

There was a time when campus life was not just about academics and exam stress.
There was a time when students enjoyed being on campus, not just for the opportunity
to learn, but also for the friendships, camaraderie and networks that developed while
there, and that lasted long after graduation.

A group of Give Back Volunteer students from both the Barbados Community College
and the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus are seeking to recreate that
lively campus vibe by presenting a series of entertainment events branded Artiverse!

The Artiverse is a world where creativity thrives, and all artforms are freely expressed
and exhibited. The Artiverse is the space where campus entertainment is revived, and
campus life is enjoyed much more.

The first two (2) events produced this year by Artiverse are intended to be as inclusive
as possible:

1) The Art Untold Talent Competition 2) The Artphoria Visual Arts Exhibition.

(open to all art forms & students (a chance for visual artist to inspire
from all faculties) others with their amazing works)

What we need from you and (why!)

We kindly ask that you record;

One (1) short energetic promo video, under one minute to encourage students to sign
up for the Artiverse.

Please see the attached script pdf with this email to choose which script option is most
convenient for you.

When

We are looking to have the video done by August 21st, so we can use it to promote the
upcoming deadline for applications. The deadline for students to submit their
application to participate in either event has been extended to August 29th, 2022.
How:

The Artiverse Team!

Our team of Volunteers is made up of Students from the Barbados Community College
and the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, carrying out hours our
required hours for the National Give Back Programme.

Most of us are creative students and cultural practitioners studying programs both
within and outside of “the arts''. However, we all share our love for the arts, hence why
we decided to create “Artiverse” as an opportunity to encourage hyperactivity amongst
campus life and celebrate the community spirit, creativity and pure talent found on
both BCC & UWI Campuses.
