Highlight of the month - How to create a Zone log linked to

your well top folder?

1. Import all your well tops into a well top folder

and make sure you have stored them into the
"Stratigraphy” Folder

2. Right click under the well top folder and

“Insert/Update Zone log”

3. A new Zone log will appear under the Global

Well Logs

4. This zone log will be updated whenever a top

is moved or deleted

5. You can use the zone log to run the

Calculator or to create different attributes per
zone.

Tips of the Month - Annotations for map windows?

1. Go under Insert / New Annotations

2. Under Style, define the colors and font of

the text as well as the colors of frame.

3. Under Settings push any data from your

project and the name of the object will be
taken as default. The text will be positioned
at the approximate center with X, Y and Z.

4. For multiple objects the icon “Multi drop in

the table” should be selected.

5. Both X, Y and Z can be modified as well as

the name of the object can be manually
overwritten or can be copy / paste from
Excel. Setting the Angle value manually will
rotate the text.

6. In a map window select the Annotation and

visualize each object. You can move the
object and the new position will be updated
in the table.

7. By selecting the white arrow and holding

Ctrl + Shift, you can rotate each text
manually so it fellow a fault direction for
example.

Workflow of the Month – how to create iso-proportional layer

between 2 surfaces?

Note: On Surface Calculator dialog,

put a surface as a guide for new
created surface for resolution
reference.

This workflow has been created by Nurul Hayat from SIS Balikpapan. Many thanks !
