Family income status :


In the past, the number of students whose families have middle income couldn’t go to
University. Most of them chose to go to work. Nowadays,Vietnamese’s salary go up and quality
of life has increased. According to wordbank the Vietnamese’s incomes increased 3 times after
10 years (Worldbank,2022). And the rate of University students has risen 28,3 (Zingnews,2021)

Race :
Currently, there are 48 ethnic groups with students, some ethnic groups have a large number of
students, such as: Thai ethnic group accounted for 15.17%, Khmer accounted for 12.46%, Tay
accounted for 9.59 %, Hmong accounted for 8.04%, Dao accounted for 5.58%. However, there
are still some ethnic minorities that are difficult to enroll, such as the Co, Mang, Ro Mam, Colao,
Gie -Treng, Cong, Pa Then and Lolo ethnic groups; especially, there are 5 ethnic groups that
have not had students yet, namely Brau, La Hu, Lu, Ngai and Odu; Some ethnic groups have
fairly stable enrollment rates, such as: Bru-Van Kieu, Cham, Khang, Pa Then, Ta Oi, Xinh Mun.
From 2007 to 2013, the total number of students enrolled in universities and colleges was
12,805/14,602, reaching 88%. (Nguyen Van Hung, 2016)

Job placement for graduates is very difficult and The quality of training for selected students has
not met the requirements of society.

Vietnam’s government has imposed policies in favor of encouraging minority entry Universities.
Reducing the number of students enrolled at university level anh improve the quality of input
and output of recruitment training. (Nguyen Van Hung,2016)

Education level :
Requirment : graduated high school

Rate of graduated student in 2022 is 98,57% (VNexpress,2022)


There was an increase in rate of graduated students from 67% in 2007 to 99% in 2018 ( Nguoi
lao dong news,2018)
=> the number of Universities students increases
