Viewing the Seismic Tomography images.

The seismic tomography images are designed to be viewed in ESRI ArcMap or ESRI
Arcview GIS programs.
Images are included as both ER Mapper algorithm files (.alg extension) and ecw
files (.ecw extension).

Projections
1. All of the global ("world") images are Lat-Long images using the SPHERE2 datum
and spheroid.
2. The Australian Surface Wave Data (ASW) is projected using the following
parameters (projection file
"CEAUSTR3_WGS84WMC_Australian Continent.prj" for ArcMap is included in the folder
"Australia"):-
Projection: Equidistant Conic
False Easting: 0.000000
False Northing: 0.000000
Central Meridian: 132.000000
Standard Parallel 1: -18.000000
Standard Parallel 2: -36.000000
Latitude of Origin: 0.000000
Linear UNit: Meter(1.000000)

Geographic Coordinate System: GCS_Australian_1984

Angular Unit: Degree(0.017453292519943299)
Prime Meridian: Greenwich(0.000000000000000000)
Datum: D_Australian_1984
Spheroid: Australian
Semimajor Axis: 6378160.000000000000000000
Semiminor Axis: 6356774.719195305400000000
Inverse Flattening: 298.250000000000000000

Viewing Algorithms
If your preference is to view .alg files, then you will need to place the lookup
table "Spectrum_wmc.lut"
(included in this folder)in one of the following locations:-
1. For ArcMap users: C:\Program Files\Earth Resource Mapping\ArcGIS ECW JPEG
2000 Plug-in\ER Mapper Runtime\LUT
2. For Arcview users: C:\ESRI\AV_GIS30\ARCVIEW\averm\LUT

If .alg files are viewed within ArcMap, for best presentation it is recommended to
display using Bilinear Interpolation.
To choose this right click on the Layer name in the Arcmap window; choose
"Properties", then the "Display" tab, and select
Bilinear Interpolation from the pull-down menu.
