WHAT I CAN DO

Let’s Do It!
Directions: Read carefully the article, “The Future Gender Equality”. Respond to
the article by writing an essay. Use the Three-part structure you have learned in
the lesson. Write your response to the article in your notebook .

The goal of "gender equality" is to create true equality between men

and women by profoundly embedding the concept of human rights respect
into society's soil. It wants to change people's lives, especially women like
me. "Gender equality" allows us to demonstrate what a real woman looks
like when she is working. As much as I want gender equality to become a
reality, I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

They may argue that the research demonstrates how cultural views
and prejudice affect women's interests, and that bias and discrimination
exist even in countries with higher gender equality. The Gender Gap Index
(GGI), which analyses things like income discrepancy and government
representation, could be the source of the problem. A more sophisticated
and complicated approach is required to understand why there are more
women in STEM from nations with lower gender equality.

However, in today's world, achieving high levels of gender equality is

the most important factor in a country's general well-being and progress.
Countries with less gender inequality have made significant progress.
India's government has also begun to take initiatives to ensure gender
equality. Several legislation and regulations are in the works to help girls.
The “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana” (Save the girl, educate the girl)
campaign was designed to raise awareness about the importance of
female education. There are also several laws in place to safeguard girls.
However, there is a greater need for an increased understanding of
women's rights. In addition, the government should take steps to ensure
that policies are implemented correctly .
