Opinion writing involves the use of a student’s point-of-view which is
segregated into a point.

What Are the Requirements of an Opinion Essay?

 Avoid Going Off-Topic: Always write within relevance to the
assigned question. This is also known as “beating around the bush”,
and should not be included in any opinion paragraph as it may lower
your grade.
 Indent the First Paragraph: With most academic papers, opinion
writing is not different. It contains the rule of indenting the first line
of the introduction.
 A Well-Thought Thesis: The thesis is a brief description of the
opinion essay. It determines the rest of the paper. Include all the
information that you wish to include in the body paragraphs
 The Use of Formal Language: Although it is okay to write in an
informal manner, keep a wide range of professional and formal
words. This includes: “Furthermore,” “As Stated By,” “However,” &
“Thus.”
 Avoid Internet Slang: In the opinion paper, avoid writing using slang
words. Don’t include words like “LOL,” “OMG,” “LMAO,” etc.
 The Use of First Person Language (Optional): For the reason of
providing personal thought, it is acceptable to write your opinion
essay in the first person.
 Avoid Informal Punctuation: Although the requirements allow for
the first-person language, they do not permit informal punctuation.
This includes dashes, exclamation marks, and emojis.
  Avoid Including Contradictions: Always make sure all spelling and
grammar is correct.

Introduction
Have an interesting motivator. Some general idea about the topic is given
then you state your stance about the topic.
Thesis
1 or 2 sentences to make up a small description.
1 or 2 summarizing sentences of the entire paper.
1 sentence that links to the first body paragraph.

Nowadays, all people especially children use the virtual world so much. The
technology is developing day by day and people move away the real world. They are
more connecting to technology. Video games are one of the technology's product. They
have a lot of positive and negative effects.
On the one hand, video games have some negative effects people's health. For example,
when we sit opposite the computer or TV for play video games for a long time, our
body structure or our eyes may deteriorate, it may damage our brain and so on. In
addition, if video games make addiction, people break from the outside world, be
introvert and communication between people and loyalty are broken. One of negative
effects is violent video games disrupt children's psychology and it can even cause them
to harm themselves and their environment.
On the other hand, video games can be useful on some issues. For example, it can
provides move around and do sports at home, improves attention. According the
resources, children who play video games 1 hour a day be happier, more social and
more comfortable than children who never play or children who play more 1 hour a
day. One of positive effect is Video gamers act more decisively about a choice then the
other people.
In conclusion, I believe that video games have more negative effect than positive effects.
People should socialize with face to face communication, do exercise outdoor and
children should play outdoor games such as hide and seek, hopscotch, skipping a rope.
They shouldn't socialize with video games.
