1) Remove the accelerator pedal from the front panel.

2. Accelerator pedal installation

1) Install the accelerator pedal to the front panel.
2) Adjust the clearance between the accelerator pedal
and the pedal stopper bolt while fully depressing the
accelerator pedal using the pedal stopper bolt.
Standard: 0.0 to 2.0 mm { 0.00 to 0.08 in }

Accelerator control link

Part name Caution：

1. Nut ・ For 4HL1 engine models, do not disconnect
2. Accelerator pedal position sensor the battery cable within 1 minute after turning
3. Control link and bracket OFF the ignition switch.
4. Accelerator pedal ・ The ECM may malfunction if the battery cable
5. Bolt is disconnected within 1 minute.

1. Preliminary procedures 1) Disconnect the accelerator pedal from the

accelerator control link.
1) Disconnect the battery cable from the battery
negative terminal. 2) Disconnect the connector from the accelerator
control link.

3) Remove the accelerator control link from the front
panel.

Accelerator control link

Part name Standard: 0.0 to 2.0 mm { 0.00 to 0.08 in }

2. Accelerator control link installation

1) Install the accelerator control link to the front panel.
2) Connect the connector to the accelerator control
link.
3) Adjust the clearance between the accelerator pedal
and the pedal stopper bolt while fully depressing the
accelerator pedal using the pedal stopper bolt.

1) Connect the battery cable to the battery negative
terminal.

Idle up sensor

1. Preliminary procedures
1) Disconnect the battery cable from the battery
negative terminal.
Caution：
・ For 4HL1 engine models, do not disconnect
the battery cable within 1 minute after turning
OFF the ignition switch.
・ The ECM may malfunction if the battery cable
is disconnected within 1 minute.
2. Idle up sensor removal
1) Disconnect the connector from the idle up sensor.
2) Remove the knob from the idle up sensor.
3) Remove the nut from the idle up sensor.

4) Remove the idling control knob from the instrument

side cover.

installation
1. Idle up sensor installation
1) Install the idle up sensor to the instrument side
cover.
2) Install the nut to the idle up sensor.
Tightening torque: 0.9 N・m { 0.09 kgf・m / 8.0 lb・in }
3) Install the knob to the idle up sensor.

4) Connect the connector to the idle up sensor.
